It's all went quiet since last week. I can only imagine Conroy was happy to go on loan to us with some of his wage being paid by us and the rest by Dundee, but since he was released and had his contract paid up, he might be holding out for a bigger club/more money. We definitely held talks with him, but nothing has come of it so obviously something wasn't right. Wighton i believe was told he was only going to be a bit-part player for us and Hartley is wanting him to be playing most weeks. I reckon he'll go to a League 1 side. Ayr was mentioned.

Yoss' post on the first few pages of this thread being about Tade being pish prompted me to search his name in the first 30 pages. Some of the quotes are unbelievable. "pish in the air" and "not as good as Iain Russell" are personal highlights.

I'd like to think that we're going to be playing Callachan most weeks this season. He was good almost every time I saw him last year, certainly a better performer than Fox. As for Nade being "the most unusual signing of the summer" - not really. A player who's played a good level with Hearts, and did very well in the latter stages of the season last year for the team who won the league. He will have had more offers than just us.

He certainly held out for something to be added to his contract, thus the delay. I presume he was given it.

There is not a chance we'll have a squad with 4 senior players not included in the match day squad. We'll sign probably 1 more on a permanent deal and a loan.

The amount of people who don't realise that we're offering Spence a contract because if anyone wants to take him they'll need to pay us a fee is startling. It won't be much, but it'll definitely be something.

I heard that there was a slight snag with the Conroy signing, as were have all but agreed to take Wighton on a season long loan, as well as Nicky Riley on a permanent deal, but Conroy has a year left to run on his contract, so wants his contract paid up by Dundee as well as signing for us, but Dundee would rather he went out on loan, but you can only take one player on loan from one club.

I'd take Archie Campbell, tbh. He always caused us a decent amount of problems and Murray is obviously keen on him from last season. If it was to be him I wouldn't be disappointed.

Laidlaw is currently on holiday in the Dominican, and given that Cuthbert was released by Accies a few days ago and signed for us today, I can't help but feeling they've just ruined the boy's trip. I dunno how I feel about Laidlaw being let go, if that is indeed the case. Yes he made a few errors last season but what young goalie doesn't? I think he was capable enough to be the backup keeper this season to McGurn (if he was deemed fit enough), and that would've saved a full time wage. However, I trust the club and their judgement, so will need to see how it plays out.

As I said on the Facebook page, the 11pm thing is clever marketing. Everyone is in their house and free to check the news. You build up a bit of excitement regarding it, then reveal the re-signing of a current player, then slip in that it's the final chance to get a season ticket whilst a huge amount of people are viewing there page.

I think I'll hold off getting a season ticket until we sign some players. Baird was one of the few i'd have kept from this squad, big job on now for Murray.

Disappointed to miss Fedde Le Grand on Saturday but had something else on. Was there for Tommy Trash & DVBBS last Friday and it was banging. Was so strange with only the dance arch being open. I fear The Arches may have seen it's hay day, and only the big, big names are going to sell it out now.

Robinson made one of the best saves I've seen down at QoS a few years back, tipping a shot onto the post at the away terracing end. I'm sure there's a video of it kicking about.

I think Elliot is comfortably our best player, thus him being out is a huge loss.
