    Folk have a mental idea of what the players earn. Do you honestly think we don’t have players on £45k a year? That’s a little over £850 a week. The majority of the squad will be on at least that amount.

    Reckon there is almost no chance of the game being the Saturday. Hibs and Hearts will both very likely be playing the Thursday. Think one might be lunch time and one tea time on the Sunday.

    You cannot simply barge someone over. It doesn’t matter what part of your body you do it with. He’s not going for the ball, he’s going for the man - and he gets him. It’s as clear a penalty as you will ever see.

    Would anticipate Euan Murray will come in for Corr on Saturday. Corr has done fine and has a lot of the raw attributes to be a success (I wouldn’t actually be averse to us getting him on a longer deal now) but Murray, if fit, is a proven Championship centre half who will make less mistakes leading to goals. Obviously if Scott Brown was fit we’d win by at least 3, but because he will miss out it will be a lottery.

    Our quality of delivery from the right side of the pitch will result in goals this season. Both Millen and Mullin have a wicked delivery. I can’t think of anyone we’ve had in the last 15 years who puts in such a consistently brilliant cross - dead ball or otherwise - like Josh Mullin. Once Hamilton gets up and running, and I’ve no doubt he will soon, that will become a source of goals for us.
