  1. FC Edinburgh v Queen of the South £3, 56 pages. Some good content with 3 detailed match reports, a quiz, and even an article about non-league football in the South Shields area.
  2. Went along as a neutral. The view is okay from the back (3rd!) row.
  3. I was at a 2.30pm match and thought I would listen to it on the way home. It took a few minutes of switching between digital and FM on the car radio to work out which was 'open all mics'.
  4. Blairgowrie 0 Kirrie Thistle 2 Thankfully there was a good sized covered terrace at a rather wet Davie Park. Kirrie possibly should have scored more but Blair played well and were let down by poor finishing.
  5. If a B team is playing in a non-reserve league then the players should not be eligible for the first team at all unless under the same loan arrangements that apply to all other clubs. A player registered with a 'normal' league team wouldn't be allowed to play for another team outwith a loan deal and certainly wouldn't be allowed to go back and forth between them. Makes a mockery of registration regulations otherwise.
  6. Took in first half of Colony Park v Dyce (HT 1-1, FT 2-2) while in Inverurie for Locos v Brechin in Highland League Cup. They may have gotten a few more of the bumper crowd at Harlaw Park paying to get in if they had shifted the kick-off to 1 pm. Some decent play from both teams and a draw seems fair.
  7. Decent programme at North Lodge Park last night (£2). Good interview with Paul Campbell who recently signed for Formartine from Fraserburgh and had scored a hat trick in each of their previous two matches. In addition to the usual player and club profiles for the visitors there was an interesting historical article about a past Brechin player and manager, Frank Sandeman.
  8. Can't read the article without subscribing, but confirmed in The Courier that a man was charged by police following a 'disturbance' at the ground.
  9. Hermes 2 Kirrie Thistle 0 Quest Engineering Cup Beautiful, if rather unseasonal, weather for this fixture. Hermes don't make it easy to find the entrance to the ground, which is hidden at the back of an industrial estate car park. The grass embankment along one side of the pitch gives a good view. Kirrie were not at their best; Hermes defended solidly and had the best chances during the match. A goal shortly before half time gave them the advantage and they built on this in the second half to finish as deserved winners.
  10. Only occasionally. Don't get down as often as I would like. Did get to the away games at Cove and Arbroath.
  11. I'm a Morton fan but attend HFL matches more frequently.
  12. Not if you read parts of the forum outwith SPFL
  13. Didn't expect a programme in tier 6 but it had plenty of good material.
  14. Travelin' Band: Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Royal Albert Hall Mix of documentary and concert footage. Well worth watching.
  15. Cove Rangers v Greenock Morton today. £3 but good quality.
  16. East Craigie 3 Ellon United 1 Scottish Junior Cup The Shipbuilders were the better side in the first half and should have gone in at the break more than one up. Ellon started the second half well and got a deserved equaliser. East Craigie came back into the match and scored a penalty before a convincing winner. Great people at Craigie Park and made to feel very welcome. Will definitely be back. Wishing them all the best in the next round against St Roch's.
  17. Forfar Athletic 0-0 Dumbarton Almost bottom v top but Forfar looked the better side in the first half. Their biggest problem is their inability to score as they had plenty if opportunities but tend to take a touch too many and have no final ball. Dumbarton did very little in the first half but improved in the second half, particularly the last 20 minutes when they looked most likely to score. McCallum kept Forfar in the match with at least three cracking saves and deserved his MOM award.
