  1. @NotoBTeams on Twitter have a spreadsheet. It suggests: All tier 1-5 teams Burntisland Shipyard Coldstream Fort William Girvan Glasgow University (declared No) Golspie Sutherland Hawick Royal Albert Linlithgow Rose (declared No) Newton Stewart (declared No) Preston Athletic St Cuthbert Wanderers (declared No) Threave Rovers Vale of Leithen Whitehill Welfare Wigtown & Bladnoch Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale
  2. The question was yes/no followed by an opportunity to make any comments. I didn't include any examples in the initial post for the sake of brevity, but those quoted were... "There should be a more direct route into L2 for the Highland/Lowland league teams such as this conference league. But I do not agree with the B teams." "Yes I agree with a 5th tier league. Don't agree with B sides being involved and would rather see league being filled with teams from Highland and Lowland leagues. The main reason for B team involvement is money so it is most likely that they will be part of any new league." I interpret this as - no to B teams - yes to league reconstruction
  3. Morton Club Together surveyed members and have now released details of the outcome: "A resounding 81% of members voted no to the proposal. This is a clear message regarding the integrity of the Scottish Football Pyramid. We will be recommending to the football club board that they vote no in the upcoming vote." "While 19% of MCT members voting in favour may seem high to some, delving into the additional comments paints a slightly different picture to an outright a yes vote. In general, members who supported the Conference League were addressing the topic of league reconstruction rather than the introduction of B teams." "The next step will be for the football club board to discuss the proposal. To reiterate, we have provided them with a full report of members views and have recommended that they vote no to the proposal."
  4. St Andrews United 4 - 5 Whitburn Juniors Top of the table clash in EoSFL Second Division, although both teams already guaranteed promotion. Saints went ahead within 2 minutes, but the equaliser came 2 minutes later and by 18 minutes it was 1-3. Whitburn scored twice early in 2nd half and most thought it was all over, but St Andrews didn't give up, got a couple of goals to make it a nervy end for Whitburn, and came close to equalising late in the match.
  5. Imagine if Brora finished 2nd in HL and the HL champion got promoted to League 2
  6. The pyramid structure you propose is a reasonable starting point, but it should not exclude currently unlicensed clubs at T4. It would also need to have further tiers below to ensure all 200+ clubs in the current pyramid are accommodated. The B teams shouls not be included. They can keep to a reserve league with players put on loan to clubs at a suitable level for their ability and stage of development.
  7. They should also consult with supporters' groups. I would not renew a season ticket if entering a 10 team league which included four B teams and would not attend any of the proposed 8 home matches involving B teams. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one, so how much income would they lose from supporters? I would rather attend matches in lower tiers.
  8. An easier way would be to say that a player can't play for the 1st team if in the B team and vice versa (unless under the same loan arrangements that apply to all other teams).
  9. Rutherglen Glencairn 1 East Craigie 1 (8-7 on penalties) Volunteer Park, Armadale Scottish Junior Cup semi-final Great start for EC, scoring in 2nd minute. Both sides had chances - RG hit crossbar, EC hit post, MoM performance from RG goalie - but EC were under more pressure as the match went on and conceded the equaliser in 85 min. Each team had a penalty saved before it went to sudden death with the RG goalie making another good save to take his team to the final.
  10. Decent quality but not much to it... would have expected more for the price.
  11. Brechin win or draw on Wednesday and it is a title decider on Saturday. A draw would put Brechin 3 points behind Buckie with Brechin having the superior goal difference.
  12. Dunbar United 1 Kirkcaldy & Dysart 2 New Countess Park, 25/03/23 K&D scored within 2 minutes and dominated 1st half. Dunbar did have chances and hit the crossbar in each half. Referee was terrible throughout with his worst decision being a red card for a Dunbar player when he was the one fouled. Late consolation through a penalty and they tried hard to get an equaliser. Great wee ground with the added entertainment of frequentvtrains passing by. A superior experience to Meadowbank the night before.
  13. Also FC Edinburgh v Queen of the South on Friday night. Edinburgh were the slightly better side in the 1st half and QotS dominated the 2nd half. Some good saves from Mutch in Edinburgh goal. Crowd was officially given as 650.
  14. I survived the dizzy heights I thought the 2 teams were fairly evenly matched and there was some good play from both. Edinburgh probably slightly edged the first half and I wondered at HT if they may regret not having taken some of their chances. Queen of the South were more dominant in the second half.
