  1. Instead of allocating prize money by league position (where clubs could argue that they potentially could have finished higher up if all games were played) they should distribute the prize pot equally between all teams regardless of league. That would help the small clubs and hopefully prevent them going bust. The bigger clubs are more able to cope with a temporary reduction in income.
  2. The museum of human evolution in Burgos is well worth a visit (and is wheelchair friendly).
  3. I went to Athens at this time of year about 4 years ago. The weather was very pleasant, although locals did think I was mad going about without a jacket! I agree about being very careful if travelling on the Metro. Someone unsuccessfully tried to get my purse but an older guy on the train in from the airport was not so fortunate. Athens itself is a great place to visit and easy to cover on foot - the Acropolis is a must and I would recommend taking the tram out to Palaio Faliro to visit the floating naval museum which has the ships Georgios Averof and Velos. I enjoyed a day trip to Delphi but it is probably too much for a 4 day visit. Better to just explore the different neighbourhoods of Athens. At this time of year it is definitely worth visiting Technopolis, an old gas factory in the Gazi neighbourhood which has been transformed into a cultural venue and industrial museum. In December it is the site of a Christmas village, best seen when lit up at night, and there is a buzzing nightlife nearby. It is easy to eat well for little as long as you avoid the tourist traps. I had a fantastic meal at Gevomai Kai Magevomai (Nileos, Thisio). The Greeks eat very late and portions are massive.
  4. I bought from Atlético website and everything went well. Was able to choose my seat and print out the ticket at home.
  5. According to Reporting Scotland it was Colin Considine that scored Aberdeen's winning goal today!
  6. Enjoyed a visit to the Beveree on Saturday to see Hampton & Richmond Borough v Truro City. Truro scored a soft early goal, good equaliser from Hampton. Brilliant save from Truro goalie (on loan from Bristol City) near the end to deny Hampton a win. Hampton finished 4th in the league and Truro seventh so they play again tonight at the Beveree in the play-offs. Currently 1-1. #COYBeavers
  7. And if you search for Morton forum on Google it comes up with the old address but not the new one.
  8. BBC's match report of Brechin v Dumbarton today states: Brechin 1-3 Dumbarton Scorers - Brechin - Storie (38'minutes); Dumbarton - Gallagher (11'minutes), Crighton (24'minutes og), Handling (43'minutes) Then the match report states: "Dimitris Froxylias scored the only goal of the game against Brechin to boost Dumbarton's hopes of avoiding the Championship relegation play-off. The Cypriot slotted home Andy Stirling's pass after 37 minutes. Stirling had already fired wide during the opening exchanges, and Liam Dick saw an effort blocked as the hosts started strongly. Dumbarton hooked the ball off the line shortly before Froxylias struck at the other end. Brechin tried to rally but were unable to convert some late pressure into a clear chance and remain without a league win this season." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43354327
  9. There is a Valencia store in the centre, across from the town hall (ayuntamiento), but I don't know if you can buy tickets there. I was only in Valencia as a day trip from Madrid in September so didn't go to a game there. I went to Atletico v Valencia in March but bought the ticket from Atletico's website and printed it off.
  10. Haven't been for a long time, but Ashvale in Brechin did a portion of battered mushrooms (no garlic) as a side dish. I think it was around 8 in a portion.
  11. Definitely wasn't Bikey. Don't know who it was but he did play in defence.
  12. A well argued case. The cruise liner market is an important one as I recognised on my last visit to Cappielow...
  13. Hunter & the Bear were brilliant at The Byre at Inchyra on Sunday. Great, quirky venue. Support act, November Lights were good too. More tour dates http://www.hunterandthebear.co.uk/gigs
  14. Had a fantastic time at Atlético v Valencia this afternoon. Paper copy indicated which gate to enter at and which stairs to take once in. Just showed paper copy to get in and to find seat. Ticket also gave 10% discount in club shop.
  15. Great to be at Estadio Vicente Calderón for Atlético v Valencia
  16. Fantastic game after a rather boring 6-1 win for Barca.
  17. It's rare that a beaver dam will stop salmon getting upstream as they can jump over the dam. http://scottishwildbeavers.org.uk/facts-and-fiction-the-scientific-bit/beavers-and-salmon/
  18. Not been yet but it indicates to print the ticket and present it at the stadium.
  19. Not from Barca, but recently bought for Atletico and that was easy. Ticket arrived by email within seconds. Buying from Barca's website looks similar.
  20. Grew up supporting Aberdeen and was a regular at Pittodrie in my teens. Started following Morton when they were in the Third Division and they have been my team ever since. Hampden on 22nd October will be interesting.
  21. Wouldn't mind them taking time to get the results through but wish that wouldn't state the scores are FT results when they're not. They could just keep them marked as latest scores until confirmed.
