  1. Jambos jubilant in leaving shite boring league where nobody can keep up with the biggest budgets - to enter, without a hint of irony, a shite boring league where they can't keep up with the biggest budgets. Congratulations.
  2. Something wonderfully Newcastle (United) about Wests Tigers.
  3. Another chastening experience for the Broncos - 35-6 hiding from the Rabbitohs. Absolute bunch of wet paper towels. Would take Josh McGuire - or anyone with any balls - back in a heartbeat. Still, at least Benji Marshall sparkled. What I wouldn't give...
  4. How has it not dawned on the punditerrati that Pogba's best position isn't left of a midfield 3/behind the strikers/left of a front 3 - it's subbie. Very often changes games when United are chasing and need to take risks - very often terrible when starting and tasked with responsibilities beyond chasing a goal. Or I'm talking shite because he plays well (and disciplined) for France.
  5. Of course he's out his depth. One of the least controversial takes in football.
  6. I disagree, but not enough to get into it. United would be a much better side if Graham Potter was their manager.
  7. "The first time he's had both Henderson and De Gea available at the same time and he's gone with Henderson....." Apart from the 100 previous times he had them both available and picked De Gea you mean?
  8. Incredible. Lewis Vaughan getting at least my second vote on May 6.
  9. Delighted to be proved wrong but those subs are bed shitters. We need to win!!
  10. And I've already had to mute the telly. Deary me.
  11. Started watching at HT. John McGinn has given away a freekick every time he's been within 10 yards of the ball.
  12. It's how CJ Stander (and everyone else) enters every ruck.
  13. Good round 1 I thought. Most teams looked less rusty than you'd expect on an opening weekend. Overreaction theatre takeaway is that the top 6 won't change from last year. Storm, Panthers, Roosters, Souths (despite losing) and Raiders (despite playing with their Frosties) all looked good, and the Eels can claim they showed good spirit and had their second rows on the wrong way round. Last 2 playoff spots from Knights, Warriors and Titans. Time to put up for the Gold Coast. Not little bro anymore when you've spent what they have. Sharks and Tigers to get some big wins but won't be consistent enough. Long season ahead for Dragons, Bulldogs, Cowboys, Manly and Broncos by the looks of things. As a Broncos fan though, if they have a dig all year like they did on Friday I'll be happy (happier).
  14. Of course Danny Murphy gave Lallana MOTM.
  15. Predictable comeback from the Eels who deserved to win in the end. Fox Sports bashing a Broncos collapse seems a little harsh given the 3 injuries (and Turpin scored!). Improvement from Broncos though - I'll happily watch a young side that turns up like that every week. Hurry back Haas and Stagggs!
  16. Good performance from the Knights. Tough break for Kurt Mann who I like a lot doing his MCL. Mitch Barnett was beastly. As a Broncos fan 16pts up at HT, I still don't trust them to win, and they are going to be inconsistent all year no doubt but....that was an enjoyable half. And there haven't been many of them lately.
  17. Big time. Looks to be playing with more of a smile - less grubby stuff tonight. Good first game, going to be a great season.
  18. And this is why Mr Power will be keeping my futures stakes again this year. Some start from Storm.
  19. Great stuff, good to have you on board. Belter first game of season in Storm vs Rabbitohs. I fancy the Bunnies with a big game from Latrell Mitchell and a still-got-it last 20 Benji cameo.
