  1. The advantage I think both Saints and Killie have this year is that both our managers have been at the club for a couple of years, and have been there and done it in Europe. You often get a club with a new manager who is still building a squad, and/or someone who has no experience of managing in Europe, and it tends not to go well.
  2. We as fans can discuss poor decisions, but there's a big step between that and claiming that Killie should be pushing for further consequences when the referee has acknowledged that he got it wrong. He will already be getting assessed by his manager in the stand in the same way that Ndaba's performance was addressed by his own manager, and that will have been picked up by them.
  3. I make mistakes at my work all the time because I have to make a lot of decisions. I also often have to stand up in front of a room of people and speak to them, and inevitably I'll misspeak at some point or tie myself in knots. Nobody suddenly thinks I'm incompetent when this happens, they just accept that I'm human. Referees are always going to make mistakes, just like footballers are going to make mistakes. The better ones in each case make less of them, but still not none. Even in that goal itself, yes the game probably should have been stopped, but we also didn't defend it well. Should we be putting out a statement asking why Ndaba didn't track his runner and asking what is going to be done about it too? People need to simply grow up and accept that sometimes mistakes are made.
  4. I'm afraid this would be pathetic Old Firm behaviour. There were loads of mistakes on that park tonight and most of them were from our players rather than the referee.
  5. All I will say is that I have good sources which suggest otherwise, and that even McInnes thought it was done.
  6. If rumours are to believed he very nearly signed for us before joining Fleetwood. Wondered if we'd be back in for him this summer, he should be a good signing.
  7. They've just played off with the clubs in the top half for the Conference League spot. Why would 7th or 8th get a further opportunity that the 6th placed team don't?
  8. These things are almost certainly not related in fairness. You'd be as well saying that Scotland have qualified for two tournaments since he took on that job, which also has basically f**k all to do with him.
  9. It's very unlikely we'd be able to play a team from Kosovo in our Europa League draw.
  10. He played there a fair few times for Arsenal, including in the 2020 FA Cup final.
  11. I think we have dozens of games of evidence of him playing there for club and country to suggest that it's a position he is more than capable of playing.
  12. It has already been mentioned by sources close to the club that they will be appointing a head coach, not a manager, so that immediately rules out the likes of McInnes and Robinson. The most likely appointment is a "Black Knights" yes-man who will happily all the Bournemouth project players who join up in the summer regardless of whether they are good enough or ready enough. The other option is a young up-and-comer who they think might be a potential future Bournemouth manager.
  13. There have been 4 first leg draws in these play-offs - the SPFL side has gone on to win twice (Cowdenbeath v EK and Cove) and the Tier 5 team has gone on to win twice (Edinburgh City v The Shire & Spartans v Albion Rovers).
  14. He has been on the bench for most games and has made 12 appearances for us in total, so he's not missed loads of games. I think he would have been fit enough to start if needed.
  15. In the English National League play-offs this season Gateshead were ineligible for promotion and they weren't replaced in the play-off.
  16. Why would there be any complaints about one midweek game being on a Tuesday and the other on a Wednesday? This happens fairly regularly even when there's no TV game.
  17. Hardly wasted given that he added depth to our squad and crucially didn't sign for our rivals for 4th place.
  18. Most people are going to enjoy themselves, not to show off. Of course, there is privelige involved but folk are paying high prices because they have to rather than because they want to.
  19. He played it for Scotland at least a couple of times and struggled to get up and down the park, which I think played a big part in him getting dropped from the squad for Patterson before the Euros. And that was when he was 3 years younger than he is now. I have no idea how well he's been playing this season - Wednesday were obviously terrible for half the season but then put together a brilliant finish to stay up.
  20. It has very much verged into "random fan with a login" stuff quite a few times over the last couple of months, let's be honest.
  21. This team would be promoted to the Lowland League anyway, so they can't be filling a vacancy created by a hypothetical extra promotion to the SPFL.
  22. They were not relegated, they were expelled from the league.
  23. Kelly with yet another piece of rubbish goalkeeping for Ross County's goal today, I really don't see any justification for taking him.
  24. Stephen Thompson introduced our game with "a win for Derek McInnes' side would all but guarantee 4th". Given that it puts us 9 points clear with 2 games to go, I'm wondering what turn of events he foresees that might not have us 4th.
  25. OK, I'm going to retract this, I've seen enough in these 25 minutes to think he can do something for us.
