  1. South Africa should be easy enough for us.... They looked very good and I think they could up their levels further. WC is likely to be a damp squib for us even though we have a decent squad which is a shame.
  2. Piastri loses the rear, but what on earth happens to Ricciardo here? That's a really strange line. Taken to hospital for further checks. Liam Lawson the reserve if he's struggling?
  3. Surely at some point you're going to have midweeks and short recovery periods? Aberdeen will be the strongest team, at least on paper, that we've faced this year and their squad seems pretty decent. Really sets the mark for how well or otherwise we might do this year.
  4. Lewis Ludlam presumably. But Borthwick said relying on Vunipola wasn't a risk...
  5. No surprise. Lucky it's 4 games with an Ireland friendly included.
  6. I think it falls within 'reckless' definition and Collum was spot on with the yellow. I don't think it meets the requirements for excessive force. When the ball breaks Dunne comes from a fairly close by, he isn't full pelt from distance. The point of contact is ball initially, but when connecting with the player it is low and studs are down to ground. His second leg does make contact as a follow through but it is behind him going into the challenge. His trailing leg comes through as you say, but I'd say a 'two footed tackle' is more one where both feet are pointing at the player and make contact pretty simultaneously.
  7. A two footed lunge. It's nowhere near that and Dunne clearly goes in with his left only.
  8. Not sure why Robbo kept Mandron on. He did fine earlier but was done and not sure why Nahmani or someone wasn't brought on
  9. Kettlewell cares judging by his tears on the radio.
  10. I guess it's what happens that home sales drop a bit when it's a early round cup game and you need to pay extra. You have your core attendees who would go home and away and I guess that's why our away support usually holds up for cup games.
  11. In terms of the club they seem to use Buddie - ie 'Help a Buddie' and the PDE also uses that spelling. I always thought Buddy is the American word.
  12. They aren't. Stirling Highland games is on beside Forthbank on Saturday and Aberdeen preferred to play Friday than Sunday.
  13. I agree with this. If we are going to have a third kit I think it should be a bit different or unusual designs. Those options all seem a bit standard, white with gold/red or red which are colours we pretty regularly use. I just find them pretty uninspiring - would like to have seen something a little bit different for us. I actually liked our yellow and black kit we had. Also Kit 1 - I thought in terms of Paisley it was 'Buddie' rather than 'Buddy' or have I been spelling it wrong for years?
  14. If anything it's World Rugby sending a message to it's panels.
  15. Sigh. I'd have some sympathy on this argument about slow motion if it had been a tackle where it was minimal contact or where the guy was very low down late on, but Farrell sees him coming, doesn't wrap and cleans him to the head.
  16. Need to see the full judgement but I didn't think you could get mitigation for this which is surprising. Must have been good biscuits!
  17. Farrell gets away with one here. The mitigation seems weak as others haven't been able to use that.
  18. Yeah Ashcroft (I think) in fairness did well to continue, but nobody appealing for it just made it feel like a strange one. It was a clear pull, but again I guess it's the consistency of VAR as they can invariably get ignored. I don't think we lack leadership - there are very experienced players right across the team and Fraser, Gogic, Flynn were all on the pitch at one point who could lead. I think we just didn't make the right tactical changes to get going. Our fullbacks were (understandably) gassed and with Dundee going to a 4 in midfield we were outnumbered which left the midfield struggling to both hold the ball and Dundee used the extra body well. We would probably have been better going 5-4-1 and stuffing up the midfield a bit, allowing us to match Dundee a bit more in the wings. It was something we struggled with against Kilmarnock last year so no surprise Docherty switched it. Dundee overall showed enough about them to make you think they'll be competitive in the league and probably right about team gelling. The boy Beck was torn to shreds defensively and they could do with someone clinical and more up for the fight up top than Bakayoko.
  19. I get why VAR didn't think they could award it, but then we got a goal at Pittodrie on VAR which I would say was no more obvious than yesterday and angles were no better. Referee was howling yesterday anyway. Hadn't a clue, was fussy as f**k and gave some awful calls. The best one was the foul on Tiffoney which ended in two bookings for Dundee. Incredible. Dundee's VAR penalty is a foul but you hardly ever see them called really. There is a ton of that going on in the box which doesn't get picked up so annoying when one does! I mean nobody even appealed for a penalty in real time!
  20. It was close and from my angle at the game I felt it was over. I get why the lack of a side on view means VAR can't really tell 100%. In saying that it does look like it's probably over and we got one at Pittrodrie last season which looked about the same so who knows how VAR works
  21. Much easier when the ref is having a mare to keep your head down. We equally don't hear what they are saying so we can't tell they aren't saying something.
  22. The tagging and cover photo is weird behaviour and seems personal. It's a terrible bit of writing too - the 'Nam Sorth' patter is embarrassing. I've seen better content in the binfire of the Saints v Dundee match thead... Youtube is full of stuff that other people wouldn't find interesting- just don't watch vloggers it if it bothers you.
  23. The family stand thing is excellent. We took a lot of heat in reducing OF tickets but no need to give away seats to away fans when you can seat your own fans and ticket holders of the future.
  24. Always difficult to rate him as games were only being streamed when he played for us. He had some great games, but sometimes he went completely missing and always thought it was weird United and others were scrambling for his signature
