  1. He extended is deal earlier in the season so is under contract. Wasn't Goodwin rumoured to have been interested in Armstrong when he was at Raith?
  2. Yeah Killie were decent. You could see the effort and that they'd ran themselves into the ground by how many players were going down with pulls and cramp.
  3. That was awful. Kilmarnock merited a win, looked really up for the battle and we were pretty flat. Worst performance of the season by far and we looked like we couldn't adapt to Kilmarnock's shape. Made the top 6 so not the disaster it could have been but that performance was unacceptably bad.
  4. That's a good effort. I think we know exactly what will happen however. Collum reffing, in our hands for top 6, opposition needing points and not having won away... It's set up perfectly !
  5. Some professional pundits still subscribe to the 'but he got the ball' mantra. The heads gone some pundits are having over it is bizarre. I'd say the Livi ones, particularly Pittman's were more debatable than Shinnie's. I get the debate on whether it merited an additional game but I was surprised when Aberdeen appealed the red card in the first place.
  6. Worryingly that's not massively unlikely! I still think we are more than capable of getting a result, and think that Goodwin's team could get some points at Tannadice.
  7. The most St Mirren thing would be managing to miss out on Goal difference
  8. Great to hear it's sold out. Do have the slight fear given what happened in Hamilton a few years ago!
  9. I don't mind the 4 times a year too much depending on the teams actually. That said, having watched Gus Macpherson's St Mirren and Billy Reid's Clyde sides play four 0-0 draws one season it was a bit much. As a Saints fan, I actually can't remember the last time we had a 'average' year in the Championship. We've either been battling relegation or going for promotion. Probably one of the mid-90s ones.
  10. I'm a little disappointed top 6 it wasn't wrapped up last weekend. I felt we were unlikely to get anything at Ibrox but was hopeful one of the others might not have taken full points, but not surprised both won really. Always will be nervy game as you are 1 VAR batshit call from going from cruising to being in trouble, but it's in our own hands I suppose.
  11. The Mouat rink is just outstanding. Really well deserved and beating Canada in Canada is nicely reminiscent of 2009.
  12. Great result for United. No idea what Fish was thinking with that penalty
  13. I know. It was all Hibs too with Nisbet off the bar and Youan missing a huge chance.
  14. Dundee United have shit the bed here. Hibs could and probably should now be winning. Niskenen chance was huge. He's been poor.
  15. That was brilliant. Beaton gave them everything that day too. Fist-pumping getting to penalties against 10 men was bad enough before managing to miss every penalty. Their keeper had a water bottle with every St Mirren player's preferred side. f**k knows how they managed that given I could hardly name some of the players Kearney brought in, never mind see them hitting penalties before.
  16. It has some great beers. Just like the UK some of the mainstream brands are largely generic mass produced pisswater.
  17. That Hibs side had just chucked it under Butcher. They played us and we scored within 15 seconds, had Goodwin sent off and still cruised to the win. We ended up being the first team in the bottom 6 'safe' that year strangely enough, despite being 7 points off Hibs in that table at game 30! Surprised how poor St Johnstone's form has been. Was a point in the season where I thought they might push on and join in with the top 6 battle. I can't see you not picking up more points to be safe enough come the end of the season. County game is however massive psychologically given that would cut it to 5 points with a defeat.
  18. Given the state of most town and city centres in Scotland have been in with online shopping killing High Street retail and increased work from home hitting a lot of commercial areas, any unit being let seems a miracle. I mean what was realistically going to go into that unit at the end of Sauchiehall Street?
  19. Wondered why there was so much FIA/F1xed chat this morning.
  20. I'm on Octopus Tracker which follows wholesale prices. Average rate for March is 21.5p/kWh for electricity and 5.2p/kWh for gas. Wouldn't be surprising if rates fell further.
  21. Fantastic player, but yeah hasn't quite hit the heights of the high standards he previously set in recent matches. His performances at Firhill when coming through were superb.
  22. Yes, because what Haouas did was dangerous and out of line. I'm more sympathetic to high challenges particularly where there are other tacklers around. Rugby has massively changed in terms of physicality, pace and tactics since the amateur days, indeed if you watch footage from 1990s you'd struggle to think it was the same sport. It's hard not to see rules needing further amendment largely to protect players from themselves.
  23. I didn't think it was a red card for Steward.Given how quickly it all developed plus the knock on, I felt it was harsh and he was more pulling out of the challenge. Rugby also needs to stop watching incidents in slow motion. Slow motion should only be used to check grounding etc, as it often exacerbates minor incidents. Refs are more aware of this now, asking for real time to be used.
  24. Can't speak for Motherwell, but we have had lower home attendances against the Old Firm than other clubs.
