  1. Aye, but my flat tended to sleep days and work nights. By fourth year we would all get up at various times between 2 and 7pm, and then work through till 6-7 in the morning...if we had a morning lecture that we wanted to go to, then we would stay up till it was over, and then go home and go to bed. Even most of my dissertation correspondence with my supervisor took place at 2am (thats when he always replied!), so I didnt really have to be in uni for much during the day.
  2. Im not even an undergrad! Im expected in around 9 every day, to work till 5. Now in my undergrad days, I would think it perfectly normal to sleep till 2 or 3pm. These days however, I generally have meetings and responsibilities. Being a grown up sucks.
  3. Woke up at my usual time this morning(just before , but decided that a week of getting up early had left me feeling like the living dead, so I switched my alarms off and decided to get an extra hour or so, just to catch up. Next thing I know, its 11:15. Bugger.
  4. You really know how to sell people on the joys of Lancia ownership! Still, at least your Zafira will not cost too much to insure.
  5. Have you tried marking them yourself instead then? Its late, it was funny in my own head.
  6. Ach I prefer right hand drive and manual gearbox...8 seconds sounds magic though, I reckon my current engine (rebuilt by mine own hands) can get me from 0 to 60 in a minute and a half or so, if I try and thrash it. It will not be going through another MOT. Ill probably end up with a crappy Ford Ka with a knocking noise coming from the engine or something like that.
  7. I was getting quite interested till you mentioned the insurance! Gutted now!.
  8. Clever! Still think you'll crack though and end up driving it! If you have one for £500 or less....
  9. I would say "you poor b*****d", but you have 3 (well, 4 now) cars, and I own 1 wreck only. So, ha ha! I give it 2 weeks before you drive it.
  10. I havent been to an Arbroath game for a couple months now, because if I was to drive up, I wouldnt feel confident about driving it back down on the same day. I'd have to stay at one of my relatives overnight, and I dont have the time for that. I hate old Astras.
  11. I was ambivalent about owning a Vauxhall, and now I do. And it is truly shite. I never want to own a bloody Vauxhall again. Whats the story behind this tale of woe? You have my condolences and deepest sympathy.
  12. Amen brother! Christmas is shite. Im going to work through it and take my time off later in the year.
  13. The girl I was going out with today stood me up because she had 'too much on'. This sounds like grasping for an excuse, any excuse. Gutted.
  14. And another one. In anticipation of tomorrow, I decided that I should do something about a couple wee tufts of nasal hair I have. Turns out that some big and old kitchen scissors from out of my car toolbox are not the answer. I think Ive cut the inside of my nose a bit. It hurts.
  15. I hate being an old person. A year ago, if the subject of the Vengaboys in Stirling had come up, it would have been a drop everything and go. Now: "oh, Ive got work the next day", "got my driving test", "working the night shift", "who are the Vengaboys? Them? Oh god no.". I hate being 22.
  16. Aye, I thought it was gonna turn ugly at one point. Im sure at least one family were actually split up by the barriers, with them having to miss their train to be reunited. Still, got on the Dunblane train feeling like shit, and just listened to music and tried not to spew while going through what felt like 300 stations.
  17. I was standing right next to the bar....it was fine all day. However, after the match, they were a bit funny about what queues people went down. I was there from opening time, and just felt awful after the game. But yeah, during the day I had no problems with the bar. I ended up standing around being miserable and left not long after the game. I then threw up in a skip on the walk back to Queens Street (giving "sick to the stomach" a literal meaning), got in the mad rush at Queens street where there were too many people on not enough trains. And arrived back here, feeling grim! Edited to add, when we scored, it was truly amazing!
  18. Just back from the tent in Glasgow. That hurt quite a lot more than I expected it to.
  19. Oh I believe that - I just dont buy that as the main reason for Monster having an Italian flag as his avater.
  20. Aye, now! But there was a time when 70 was nothing...like a few months ago, when you lied to me regarding the start time of the midweek game, causing me to hare up the road at 110mph.
  21. Yes, and I have sped, but NEVER in a 30 zone. For that matter, I dont know if Ive ever sped in a 40. The only time I speed is on a motorway or dual carriageway, and even then, only rarely. Generally I toddle along at 70.
  22. Thats alright, my morning has consisted of printing and waiting so far, it kills time!
