    Can't remember anything at all about Flies, Walton or Shepherd and had no idea Pageud was at us on trial before going over the road. We had some goal keeper issues the following season too when we went down, with O'Hanlon/Jorgensen and letting Main go to the Fermers. Goalie troubles and relegation you'd think we'd have learnt something over the years.

Wasn't that long ago the English media were prophesying the death of their national team due too many Johnny Foreigner types coining it in their league (to be fair they had Ricky Lambert up front for a while) but it's been quite the opposite, their academy system seems light years ahead of everyone else bar the French as you say.

    The Long Good Friday. Very dated and some really dodgy racist dialogue but good fun and Bob Hoskins is excellent as per. Bonus points for Helen Mirren being Helen Mirren, a cameo from the guy off Brush Strokes and silent IRA assassin/pretend homosexual Pierce Brosnan. 7/10

Though he did have a strange wee mini rant today about the woman from the Chase joking about Carlton Cole's tackle, with a textbook 'what if a man had said that about a woman's genitalia' argument. Tam if you're reading this, what with gender power dynamics and all, it's a bit more nuanced than simply men should be able to make jokes about fannies.

    There is no fucking way they cleared that as offside that quickly then asked the ref to come over to decide if he was interfering with play or not. Takes them ages to f**k about with those lines for milles offsides ones never mind something as marginal as that.
