  1. I at one point posted she's our best hope for a 14 team league when I was defending John Nelms. I truly didn't realise how much of a fucking trumpet she actually is.
  2. Her comment of, '“In short, the Premiership needs Hearts more than the Championship does.' is fucking classic. Up there with 'We don't do walking away', 'If you sink us, we'll sink you' and 'We won't be bullied'. That plan can get to f**k.
  3. Final musing on the Matt Lockwood podcast - Goes on about Bomber when he first joined came into the changing room and shook everyone's hand. Lockwood says Bomber made a point of crushing everyone's hand to show exactly who was in charge.
  4. Listening to Matt Lockwood is quite amusing. Once he gets into it his eccentricities are quite amusing although he isn't necessarily wrong. Says it's Bomber's fault that his Dundee career came to an end. Pinpoints that Stephen Hughes debut game against Falkirk where we got smashed. Says Bomber wanted to play 3-5-2 after not spending a second on it in the build-up, told Lockwood he'd be playing sweeper and Willie Dyer would go to LB. After the game, he says Bomber punished him for Bomber lacking tactically saying Willie Dyer done alright at LB so he was keeping him there which was the game against Alloa where he eventually left. Hartley comes in and says he's keeping it exactly the same as the week prior so Lockwood never gets a look in again and that's that. He then goes on to speculate that Hartley might have ended his Dundee career because he knew that Lockwood applied to be our manager and knows that he would've got us promoted so might be a bit annoyed. Said he phoned Gardiner and said if he's put in charge he'd have guaranteed us promotion. 'The job is so simple and I know what needs to be done.' - His exact wording. Hartley had zero time for him after he was appointed. Goes on to say the stretch bands that Hartley introduced were just for show and were a lot of nonsense and was just for the fans. 'Hartley came in when we were 5 clear and we ended up winning on the last day. We actually got worse. Paul Hartley was severely lacking in man management and ended up getting sacked because he fell out with too many players.' Scot Gardiner/Paul Hartley also put the announcement up on the website that he wasn't getting a new deal and Lockwood never found out about it. Harry Mac phoned Lockwood when he wasn't even at the club to tell him best of luck. Lockwood says he felt like turning up for pre-season just out of spite since he was never told. Says he wants to become a manager and has applied for the Dundee job a few times now. Has no interest in youth coaching so sees his only in at a club he was successful at being Leyton Orient and Dundee, but that's not came about as of yet so he's looking at other opportunities and he looks around sees some managers and is like how the hell have they got a job.
  5. Think Bogdan is another Jack Hamilton. Massive name, but dodgy as hell.
  6. Matt Lockwood saying Leigh Griffiths was unprofessional, not a team player and we didn't miss him when he left. Says he was the only one that didn't buy into the team spirit in the Deefiant season and was all for himself.
  7. Now will be the time to find out. Since he's joined the parents have been much more impressed with the set-up. We've pretty much cleared the decks in terms of existing youth players (Eligible for professional terms) though so he obviously wasn't impressed with what we had at the club. I know a lot of ex-players credit him with having a massive impact on their careers in the same way they do with Walter Smith etc, but they tend to be players he's managed rather than brought on. The Celtic Wiki says this about him (But again, features many players that were given their debut by other managers): 'He also helped to foster the careers of some of the younger players, such as Maloney, O'Dea, McManus, McGeady & Wilson, and in reflection they will be thankful for the role that WGS has played in their careers. Some will succeed (at Celtic or elsewhere) whilst others inevitably won't but at least he gave them the opportunity. WGS likely was the best developer of youngsters we'd had for the past twenty years or so. Billy McNeil was the last to have done well with youngsters in the squad.'
  8. Where's Carlaw said this? He was being a shitebag last I checked.
  9. I'm still happy he's at the club. It's not as if we've produced much talent over the past 10 year or so. The key players being: Kevin McDonald, Scott Robertson, Paul Dixon, Craig Forsyth, Craig Wighton, Cammy Kerr & now Finlay Robertson. The first 4 achieved Scotland caps, but only Kevin McDonald & Craig Forsyth have really 'made it' in a sense that they could probably completely retire when they give up football whilst Wighton & Kerr look like they'll not make it much higher than the clubs they are at now. Since he's came in he's implemented some stuff that whilst not exactly revolutional, has been massively important. The youth and parents are much more involved and he's ensuring that they prepare for life outside of football if it doesn't work out which doesn't happen enough in football. He's got a perfect blank canvass to prove his philosophy on youth football is right and his experience in management undoubtedly will help McPake. He's got some crazy views, or at the very least, he puts his views across in some crazy ways, but he's still got loads to add to any Scottish club. As much as he puts his foot in his mouth, he'd be an asset to pretty much most Scottish clubs in one way or another.
  10. Absolutely. He deserves that type of treatment. It doesn't help us get the end result most would want though. It does the opposite and it gives him an out that his supporters are clinging onto for dear life right now.
  11. Nope, he works with Dundee implementing his programme. Subtle but key difference. It also means we've not been able to put him on furlough.
  12. This is why I posted about the van and TV outside his house. It does nothing. That's not comeuppance, comeuppance is him being punted. Stuff like that just furthers his cause and deepens the entrenchment of some Tory voters.
  13. Have to say, I respect Strachan, I'm glad he's at our club and I think he's got tremendous knowledge on the Scottish game. I don't entirely agree with him on this one though. If we had a closed shop - Would the national team improve? Possibly, with increased funding going to the FT clubs and subsequently their development teams. That doesn't mean the PT clubs should just be discarded though. I am in favour of an open pyramid system rather than shut off elitism which is what Strachan seems to be favouring here. In addition to this, I'd much rather go watch Arbroath/Forfar etc than watch the Scottish national team, but maybe that's just me. International football is just a shite distraction from club football IMO.
  14. I've never had that particular one - I don't think I've ever had a genuinely terrible Chianti though!
  15. If it takes you 7 attempts to pass your driving test, you shouldn't be allowed to drive IMO.
  16. I try to think that none of our BBC journalists are inherently bias. They might have an unconscious bias, but aren't inherently trying to put upon their own views and then there's Tweets like this:
  17. McPake being trashed by Stephen Elliott in the Daily Record: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/james-mcpakes-hes-st-hibs-22069878
  18. So will this be going away in a few days?
  19. Do Livi just keep Maley around cause he's a good laugh? He seems to offer no value other than that. He fills the standard youth keeper role in that he'll never get a game unless extreme emergency. Seems a waste!
  20. Cummings said that Johnson would be making an appearance later.
  21. BBC pundits saying he was exemplary and the journalists asking questions were shite.
  22. Gary Gibbons and this boy here should be the only 2 allowed to question the govt at these briefings in future.
  23. Pissing in the street. Get him fined.
