  1. Sorry for the shite formatting, lifted straight from a website.
  2. "Dear All, "You will all be aware of reports in the press, calling for an independent investigation and for the suspension of SPFL’s chief executive Neil Doncaster and SPFL’s legal counsel Rod McKenzie in relation to the resolution that enabled the payment of nearly £2 million to Championship, League One and League Two clubs. "The focus of the questions raised in the press concerned the events of the evening of Friday 10 April, when Dundee FC attempted to return a voting slip to the SPFL in connection with the resolution. "In order to ensure complete probity and independence during this process, on Thursday 16 April, Deloitte LLP, a leading global provider of audit and assurance services, was appointed by the SPFL’s independent non-executive directors to carry out a comprehensive and independent investigation into the factual chronology relating to Dundee FC’s return. "Deloitte has completed its forensic investigation and the findings confirm the following sequence of key events on 10 April 2020. "Sequence of key events on 10 April 2020. "1. An SPFL Board Meeting commenced at 17:00 on Friday 10 April 2020. At the start of the meeting 38 returns had been identified as received, and 1 further return was received during the meeting at 17:10, bringing the total number of returns to 39. Ladbrokes Premier: 10 returns in favour, 1 against Ladbrokes Championship: 7 returns in favour, 2 against Ladbrokes Leagues One and Two: 16 returns in favour, 3 against. "It was noted during the meeting that one vote remained outstanding from the Premiership, one from the Championship, and one from Leagues One and Two. "2. The Board meeting concluded at around 17:15. "3. At 17:15, Neil Doncaster called Dundee FC Managing Director, John Nelms, and left a message asking whether Dundee FC intended to submit a return. "4. At 17:39, Neil Doncaster had a conversation with John Nelms and confirmed that as far as he knew, no vote had been returned from Dundee FC. John Nelms thought Dundee FC’s vote may have been returned, but would make enquiries. "5. At 17:50, Eric Drysdale (Dundee FC Club Secretary) spoke to Iain Blair (SPFL’s Company Secretary and Director of Operations) asking whether Dundee FC’s return had been received. Iain Blair confirmed that it had not. "6. At 18:00, a text was received by Iain Blair, from Eric Drysdale, intimating that the Dundee FC vote should not be considered as cast. "7. At around 20:30, Ian Blair accessed the SPFL’s email quarantine system (which is a feature of the email system operated by a separate third party) at the suggestion of Rod Mackenzie and identified an unread email from Eric Drysdale that had been sent at 16:48 on 10 April 2020. Iain Blair released the quarantined email and it appeared in his SPFL email inbox at 20:55. "Prior to identifying the quarantined email at around 20:30, no one from the SPFL had seen the email from Eric Drysdale. "Deloitte’s examination of phone records, mobile communications (including texts) and email data has identified no evidence of improper behaviour by SPFL personnel concerning the submission of the Dundee FC vote. "I hope that Scottish football will now focus on the significant issues that face our game, otherwise many clubs may not survive this period. "We will have to be forward-thinking, and work collegiately to quickly present ideas and proposals to Scottish Government and others which will enable Scottish football to recover and progress. "Make no mistake, this is a critical time for all clubs, and we must concentrate on what is important to the future of our game. "Yours faithfully, "Karyn McCluskey "SPFL Independent Non-Executive Director"
  3. Feel like we're in 1999 again with the level of quality of these spam accounts.
  4. Surely Rangers haven't made an arse of things again? I was looking forward to Doncaster getting punted at the end of this. Poor form.
  5. Has there not been a few instances of clubs not putting their manager on furlough despite putting the majority of its employees on it? This would make logical sense to be the reason. I could just be making that up though. A manager designing a training program for a player to follow and keep themselves fit or an interview from a player/manager about the club being deemed as breaking the furlough would be extremely petty and tbh, I don't think we are in a time of pettiness. Common sense will be applied.
  6. 6:30 for the Fifa match according to the poster (As in the picture poster!) above. Dunno if there'll be usual radio fluff before it though.
  7. Mental that 25% polled don't trust the NHS.
  8. Does this require a new thread? Not really, but it's not as if there is a lot to speak about right now so this is as good as it gets. Two Dundee Derbies tonight - kinda. First up is Lawrence Shankland vs Declan McDaid (Obviously unable to use the Dundee teams on Fifa - but still) Then relive James McPake's best mate Maurice Malpas look about 75 year old and score in his 500th appearance for United: That Derby is of course better known for a famous Dundee celebration though: Shankland vs McDaid starts at 6:30pm on the page described in the poster above. Highlights of the real game start at 7pm on BBC Scotland.
  9. Type Scottish Independence into Google News. On the first page of 10 articles, 7 are from the Express. I always thought the Sun was the worst paper in Britain but some of the ridiculous rhetoric is up there with the Daily Star in nonsense. Hot takes like: 'Jeremy Clarkson’s chilling Nicola Sturgeon prediction exposed: ‘One day she'll win!’ 'Scotland independence blow: How Ed Miliband considered ‘putting guards on border' 'Sturgeon's 'poisonous' independence dream in tatters as Labour rule out vote under Starmer' The stereotypical viewpoint is that Scotland hates England - I always get the feeling that England (Or at least the representation of England through the media and online) hate anyone that's not English.
  10. I've yet to clap, but it's progress from the other week when I completely forgot all about it and decided to empty my glass bottle recycling at exactly the same time. Talk of the neighbourhood no doubt.
  11. Do you own a scarf? That Dr John Campbell that does daily Youtube videos suggested this would suffice.
  12. One would have to imagine so. No, because you'll be too busy queuing to get in ya old b*****d.
  13. Update on the old dear - She's been put down on the list for today's tests but they will come to her rather than her going to a drive through facility since she has no way of getting there on her own. (Didn't realise that this was even a possibility)
  14. My maw is to get tested today. Works in a care home where it's spread quite rapidly. 3 deaths in the home being linked with it but not being confirmed as other serious medical issues. She noticed she had a sore throat this morning and phoned her work, they've booked her a test and she's just waiting for the phone to go to head off for it.
  15. You're paying Stevie May more than £2k per week? Oft. No wonder Broon is permanently raging.
  16. Goths seem to have died out. There was a large culture of goths when I was in secondary school. Not so much these days.
  17. A lot more? Are United fans seriously thinking that their board are going to spend silly money when football returns?
  18. Reduced attendance. Most grounds aren't near a sell-out, but having 1 person for say 3 seats or whatever it works out distance wise might be an initial way round this. We're still a long way off even this admittedly.
  19. My missus and mother both work in different care homes and it's been really quite frightening the way the residents have been treated. One old guy suffers from a lung condition and as a result has lost one lung and struggles to breath at times with fits of coughing. He needed to go to hospital as there was an emergency with him (Completely unrelated to this). Initially the hospital were refusing to take him and then when they did they put him into the Covid ward due to his cough. He's since back in the care home but obviously as you'd expect needed to be quarantined. The lack of testing available made a stressful experience 100x worse and more difficult for everyone involved here. Staff absences have skyrocketed and most care homes aren't willing to take on agency staff/send staff to other struggling care homes when need be. Everyone is doing the best they can but it just seems like a catastrophe waiting to happen.
