  1. Geddes put in a top performance for us against Raith away back in 2010 at the grand old age of 49.
  2. Received a parking ticket about 3 year ago. Had the usual threatening letters and they finally stopped after 18 month or so. Today I received a letter from BW Legal wanting £160. Is this still file in the bin stuff?
  3. Graham Norton is inherently better than any other talk show host because he gets them rat-arsed to the point they feel comfortable. They also are paired in groups unlike most talk shows which will no doubt help them relax. The other main British talk show hosts these days are Jonathan Ross - Whom guests are clearly only on to plug something then f**k off and Alan Carr who tries the same thing with guests of getting them steaming but is 'too British' in humour so guests can't relax. Sure quite a few American stars have said Norton is the best there is. Even American websites rank him as the best: https://screenrant.com/best-talk-show-hosts-us-uk/
  4. I love The Deer Hunter - but I prefer the Revels adverts that were based on it.
  5. Then they are fucking morons. We can appreciate that some people think the SNP want to break up the island and that's a bad thing, I disagree with it, but for the older generation I can at least get my head round it. Labour are an irrelevance. They'd be a disaster - and they just scream incompetence so again I can understand why people don't vote for them. Still doesn't make me understand why people think the most evil c***s in the land are electable though. I'd much prefer genuine incompetence or someone I profoundly disagree with coming into power than someone that's blatantly an evil b*****d. Yet, a sizeable minority in Scotland still believe they are the way ahead.
  6. I like Stephen Dobbie, and he probably would get a game for St Johnstone if he were so inclined these days. Is it a hill worth dying on and making a total arse of yourself for though? Grim stuff from @Doonhamer 1969 as St Johnstone fans are running rings round him.
  7. I think everyone can agree that what should be at the forefront of this discussion is bringing back the Tennents' Sixes.
  8. Watching when Finkel introduced Punk and got a 'moment' from the crowd. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler shitting all over him and undoubtedly ruining a poignant moment for a man that never really had any. Horrific to watch as you see how much it means to Fink to get some deserved adulation.
  9. Ally McCoist is one of the best co-commentators out there. At the 2018 WC, the match was made when he was on commentary.
  10. He's been dropped since Berra came in. That's the second reason why our defence has improved!
  11. Because there's a weird demand for useless haddies in Scottish football? Scottish football teams love a hold up man with little ability.
  12. Nope, looks like he's an excellent reader of the game and good at covering others if they are beaten in a 50/50. He's the main reason we'd went 5 games in a row without conceding a goal. We've conceded once since he came in and that was a goalkeeper mistake and he'd only met the players that day. Don't get me wrong, I watched him on TV a few times for Hearts last season and he looked utterly finished. That's not the player that arrived at Dens (Even taking into account the quality difference between leagues).
  13. I'm warming to the 16 side league. f**k knows why, it'll never happen.
  14. Aye, I'd much rather have Clark than Graham. That's not even debatable.
  15. Not saying this is in anyway feasible, but if we managed to get football back up and running in the lower leagues behind closed doors fairly quickly there's a chance the likes of Sky would throw an emergency TV deal out just so as they are covering some football I'd imagine. Just need to look on here to see that Belarusian football has much more exposure since the lockdown. Guaranteed eyeballs.
  16. Reckon he was a backs against the wall keeper. No surprise Celtic fans remember his Liverpool performance well. Give Rab time to think and he'd usually muck up but have him having to deal with constant situations and he was one of the best. Only keeper I've ever watched that would do a full fitness work out when the ball wasn't in his half.
  17. The bandwidth (?) needed would be much increased. Can't speak for anyone else, but DeeTV regularly crumbles when there's a few people watching it. Imagine that's got to be the biggest obstacle.
  18. Think it's been discussed that this is a go'er. In normal times this would obviously not be allowed. I reckon this is the only we will see a regular start to the new season as I don't think we will be at a stage for mass gatherings being allowed until at least 2021. I'm looking forward to some right shite angles.
  19. Is Butcher a top 6 style hatchet man? Nope. But he'll not be massively out of place in the Prem. The concern for me (And it's a good concern to have!) is that if he's one of your best players (Aside from the obvious) then there's a massive amount of work to be done. Without Shankland or a suitable replacement (Nisbet) I'd see United coming straight back down. With Shankland or a suitable replacement, United would just about survive. If top 6 is the aim, then major surgery is required. If consolidating in the top flight is the aim then a minimum of 2-3 players in is required AND a suitable replacement for Shankland if he goes. That's standard though - I've yet to see a club go up and not strengthen. I'm not gonna get into a slagging match with United fans about how much you spend and how viable that is or whatever, but if the amounts you are willing to throw about are true (Courier saying a £350,000 bid - going up to £500,000 for Kevin Nisbet was made in Jan) then there's absolutely no reason why Robbie Neilson won't have United fighting at the right end of the table whenever next season starts. If you're fighting a relegation battle then something has went wrong along the way IMO. At a total guess, I'd have United finishing in the 7-9th range if the world was a normal place right now and things were ticking along as one would expect.
  20. Billy Dodds on John Nelms after not getting the job at Dundee: “John Nelms, after speaking to him yesterday, he's a good lad and what you see is what you get. And that's the way I found him.” Billy Dodds when given the opportunity to stick the boot in: "I wouldn’t like him in the trenches with me. I couldn’t trust the guy." He's one of BBC Scotland's leading pundits. He's definitely a reason to make one consider not paying their license fee. Is he truly the best Scotland can offer?
  21. We had Dubordeau for a spell at Dens. Never played a game ahead of Kelvin Jack and Derek Soutar which says a lot (We also had Harpur!). I remembered him being alright for Killie/Motherwell - obviously mind is failing me.
  22. Ronald Waterreus played 49 games in 05-06 with Klos playing 3. (Another shocker - when Klos was no longer injured). Letizi started the Le Guen era as number 1 with McGregor as number 2, that quickly changed. Stefan Klos was third choice that season. Fucking hell.
  23. I couldn’t trust the guy."
