  1. And yet a success, he came in and done the job that was asked off him. Cowdenbeath were not really rancid at all, they certainly made Raith sweat a couple of times from what I remember, if it wasn't for that winter period where there squad didn't train they might have survived, it could be argued all McGlynn has to do is keep you up over a rancid Ayr and Queens side... And he also took Aberdeen to the knock out stages of the Europa league, drawing with Bayern Munich at Pittodrie before getting beat in Germany. Celtic couldn't manage to make it past the group stages, to try judge him in one game where Queens played out of there skins would be incredibly silly.
  2. I must've missed him splashing the cash at Kilmarnock and Ross County? both times he was brought in to save them from relegation, which he achieved. You only need to look at how Aberdeen and Dunfermline went after he left to realise how good a manager he is. Fair point
  3. Lumping the ball at Pat Clarke? In fairness Pars fans told Raith last year that Walker is a nob I know, imagine appointing a manager who has been a success everywhere he has been, the horror.
  4. Oh dear lord. Will Annan and Stranraer actually bring any support through to Palmerston though? when we get relegated we'll at least have (hopefully) 1.5-3k from Raith and 2-3 k from Falkirk for there games through in Dunfermline.
  5. So why didn't they just promote both the clubs, instead of putting up Elgin, who are shite.
  6. It was a hyperbole, In my lifetime(born just before the mid 90's) and certainly sinse I've been interested in football(late 90's) Raith havn't been pleasing on the eye. Probably, we're pretty brutal to watch right now for example.
  7. So er aye, how many years ago was that? Not quite, It's better being in a spl relegation battle than an sfl one though. So mid 90s, 95 lets just say? can't get any more mid 90's than that, that's a good 16, nearly 17 years ago. Congratulations Arbroath also hold the record as having the most goals scored in a game in Scotland, that must mean they they are the best team to watch in Scotland. In recent history, Raith Rovers have not been good to watch, why you have gotten so defensive over such a thing is beyond me.
  8. The countryside was the best bit, get a dirtbike then go at full pelt through the trees, fantastic.
  9. Sadly we don't really have much intention coming down, and luckily Inverness are pretty brutal. If we don't come down this season it could be a bit of a wait aswell. It's a pretty big difference between winning and losing, quite possibly the biggest difference in football. Rovers were never renowned for playing attractive football, but it was a brand of football from which they got results, now they are not getting them what do you have left? I know, I mean how can home defeats to the teams which just came up change your mind Oh dear.
  10. It's not like Burns is a defender, it's unlikely for him to get pushed off the ball outside the 18 yard box for the other team to score, you usually see it when he;s trying to get past a player. What you wagering?
  11. If we had highlights of players getting pushed off the ball I would happily show you, sadly it seems though that the bbc prefer to show goals and chances.
  12. I say it because he gets pushed off the ball, it may be because he's skinny that he gets pushed off the ball but when it comes down to it he does. Is he moving in the Janurary transfer window?
  13. Sorry just saw this! Not at all, Burns is just poor for us, has energy in that he runs about(not particularly fast) and that's about it, Burns just gets pushed off the ball, doesn't seem to have any pace or good passing ability and is poor in the challenge, really disappointed with him after the reviews that Queens fans gave him. Seems to have a decent shot on him though, scored against Dundee United with a decent effort and against Inverness he had a shot which hit both posts, I think it would be best for both parties though if he went down to the 1st.
  14. Charlie Dickson who used to play for Dunfermline? He's our all time record goalscorer.
  15. If I was a youth player at Raith I would be utterly disheartened at this.
  16. In football you are only as good as your last game, Raith Rovers were unfortunately not very good in there last game,
  17. Driving around the countryside on a dirtbike avoiding all the tress at maximum speed with "I love a Rainy night" I miss San Andreas
  18. They were not there at the end of the season, as such they just don't exist, in any case when you go into administration you recieve a points deficit, seing as Dundee were already behind Dunfermline in points(-1 point and goal differance) any points taken away are just going to put them furhter away, now if they hadn't went into administration they would have had Chisholm as there manager, and under Chisholm they were miles of the pace. I think it's pretty fucking hilarious though how you're getting so upset over this, carry on
  19. The league table at the end of the season had Dundee at 44 points, there isn't any other figure out there.
  20. In fairness, if you add 25 imaginary points to every team they usually get bumped up a few places, god knows why you're going through all this trouble for Dundee's sake, you may aswell be arguing that if you added 25 non-existant points to Raith you would have won the title!
  21. I would love for you to point out how we didn't win by more than 10 points from Dundee.
