  1. We should, but normally dont, hence probably better than expected. We really should be on 11 wins out of 12 games (with only belgrade expected to beat killie at home) so 9 out of 11 and one draw isn't to far off where we should be, and given our previous form in europe, its probably better than most years
  2. We are actually top of the countries that have played so far. The 5 above as are only there as they have already been awarded the bonus points for reaching the group stages
  3. Your right, in my back of a fag packet calculations i'd assumed Morton would win for 9 points and 2nd place (as worst case for 2nd place finishes), but in my scenario i'd forgotton to add points onto yourself (in the unlikely event :)) for beating Morton so had group B 2nd place on 6
  4. The 8 seeded sides will be the 4 teams that were in Europe, and probably Ross County, Motherwell, Livi and one of Hibs or Hearts (depending on GD) if results go as expected. Having looked at the current tables and fixtures a draw might be enough to see us through, but would be dependant on results elsewhere, due to our GD
  5. I never like getting a French referee we never seem to win when we have them
  6. Think I preferred the tartan on the side panel rather than the shoulders for the home top, and its a weird looking collar. I actually like the colour of the away top, if its wasn't for the collar I might actually have got that for next years trip to Cardiff
  7. Really hope we get this Welsh mob in the Tea cake cup, and give them a good skelping, just for a laugh
  8. We still have this option available, so were not cashless either - its just we have the option to buy online and get a code scanned on your phone at the turnstile if you want
  9. I think it would be a better sell saying that all matches / turnstiles are now all ticket, and you can either purchase on line in advance, or buy one on the day in the club shop / ticket point rather than scare mongering that way it doesn't sound as much of a change
  10. I know a few Australians that are panicing that they are going to finish 3rd behind Wales and Fiji - they were already convinced that Wales will beat them, now they have lost arguably their best player in Falou, and Fiji looking dangerous, they are losing all hope of making the QF's
  11. Strauss has left Sale and will be joining up with the Bulls in SA for next season (hopefully after a successful world cup). Seems likely that the World Cup will be his swansong for Scotland as cant see him travelling over for the 6N's when he will be just starting pre-season for Super Rugby - and with so long out doubt he would be in shape.
  12. Glad DuGent gets a well deserved win from another breakaway - Alaphilippe attacks with Pinot and puts himself in yellow
  13. Its a good start, but Berwick were relegated to the LL last year so it not like the opposition are up to much, will reserve judgement until after we play Livi on Tuesday, but so far so good - you can only beat who's in front of you etc...
  14. If anything the line should be moved further south to balance out the number of teams / population but thats another problem. No way should it be moved any further north
  15. Did we not get McGowan and Vsconte on loan as part of the Stevenson deal, but Vsconte got injured after a few games and went back to Hearts
  16. He would need to be a real person to have a pic, Im sure Romeo was a figment of BR's imagination....
  17. I think the issue for most Ayr fans this time last year you would have taken 8th (and probably finishing 9th above Alloa was the expectation) as we were the promoted team, and you were looking at fixtures against DU, Ross county, ICT, Falkirk and Thistle would have all been in the top tier recently, so we were looking at picking up points against QoS, Morton and Dunfermline who probably have a slightly better championship pedigree over the last few years. Fast forward to this year, and we now know we are at least on a par with the majority of teams, we've kept together a decent core of players, and although another crack at the title doesn't look likely we should be safely mid table, with hopefully another play off spot (at the top end...) Im more concerned about the season after when we could lose Moff, Kerr, Geggan, Adams and Bell due to their age and have a much bigger rebuilding job for McCall.
  18. I thought when they said they had taken the results of the poll (ie either just announce the signing, or imminent means less than 5 mins) they would just have got on with it! Thats 15 mins now.
  19. 2-2 at half time with McGuffie getting the 2nd and Half time subs as Hewitt and Thorburn replace Ecrepont and Geggan
  20. I thought he was only 28 (31 caps?)?
  21. Is it Kotor Bay and some Macedonian club?
  22. I dont know it its just me, but we seem to have done really badly out the latest restructuring. The teams as the top get more, the ones at the bottom stay the same, but the ones in the middle are losing out to give those at the top more
