    I think Saunders might end up at Falkirk in January. Happy to have McMillan as backup for that position and right-back if we can get someone else in.

    Yeah, that decision was a no brainer. I imagine we might get player of the month, in addition.

    I think there's a chance Halkett could get capped at Livingston given the lack of good centre backs. If he keeps performing, there's no question in my mind that he will be called in for a friendly when players pull out. Byrne/Pittman would have to move to be considered, there are so many options at centre mid.

    Don't think it's out of the realms of possibility that he would extend for a further year on the condition that we accept offers in the summer. Pretty common practice and something we can probably afford to do now.

    Gallagher was 2 years at the start of the championship campaign, I think Byrne only signed for 1 year this summer?

    Halkett and Holt double, without question. Pittman signing a new deal last week gives me hope that the board will speculate to accumulate in extending our top players beyond the end of the season. It would not surprise me to see Byrne or Gallagher follow in the coming weeks. If we can extend Halkett, we could be in for a big pay day.

    What can they really do in that situation though? Cross reference against Rangers season ticket holders (ones probably less likely to be bams)? I went to the first Livingston Rangers game in the Championship and can remember no trouble in the home end. Also, I think 2 points from our next three games would be a disappointing haul.

    Perhaps you can explain the failure later in the season when we're not sitting in the top 6. Even then it will carry little weight, the club has surpassed anything that Meadowbank ever achieved with a larger support.

    If we're in a good place come December, you would hope there will be some effort to extend the players whose deals are expiring at the end of the season. That said, we didn't last season and look where we have ended up (with most of the squad intact).
