  1. I think the fact that the pollsters here have qualified "no deal" by adding "leave the EU with..." means that this should remove those numpties. Still shows that more people want to leave (with or without a deal) than remain in that original graph. It also shows why we're in such an almighty mess. By aggregating all forms of leaving under a single "leave" choice in a binary referendum, we've guaranteed years/decades of argument and counter argument.
  2. Yep. Separate issues. Get one out of the way and decide on the other at a later date. Personally, and won’t be a popular comment on these forums, I’ve no problem with the royals as “head of state” in an independent Scotland. If the alternative is to elect a politician for an extended period - no thanks. Anyone seeking that kind of office would annoy me intensely. Maybe best to go with no one.
  3. and now confirmation that the UK only has 12 boats to patrol the waters (an area the size of 3x UK landmass) and protect our fishing rights once we take back control. With the govt still confirming we’ll be ok. Luckily, our fishermen will believe anything the Tories tell them. Operation Kingfisher also in place where the govt have identified numerous businesses who will be badly impacted by Brexit (construction and manufacturing mainly) and they’ve set aside more public money to compensate them. When does the madness end and common sense kicks in?
  4. Think you might have to pay an extra £1 to gain entry to the stand (I’m sure that was the story when we played there in the cup a few seasons ago). Nice ground though.
  5. The son of Liz Hurley appreciation thread for this pish.
  6. Telegraph reporting that Davies and Curran have asked to go! Whoop! ETA - beaten to it!
  7. So...not good to have been a bit under par recently?
  8. Speaking of pish being boiled...reports of another £2.1 billion set aside for Brexit preparations including half a billion pounds of taxpayers money to buy British lamb which can’t be sold to the EU and we’ve nowhere to store it. f**k me. Taxpayers money to save British farmers who weren’t needing saved until many of them voted to leave the EU. Total of about £6.3 billion pounds since 2016 on Brexit prep. Fucking, fucking madness. If successive governments had spent that kind of money in the deprived areas of the north of England, we wouldn’t be in this kind of shit. No magic money tree my arse.
  9. Apart from Facebook being fined £500000 by the ICO for its role in sharing this data, I agree with everything in your statement.
  10. I remember it (or something like it) from a good few years ago being used to describe either our Olympic rowers (Sir Steve) or an Aussie team (when said with an Australian accent, it sounds closer to foursome) ETA - scratch that. It was the oarsome foursome. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oarsome_Foursome

  13. not on netflix too often but was looking for something to watch on Thursday and this came up as recommended. Have now binged the entire 3 series this weekend. Great cast, great music, tremendous 80s references plus a couple of MILFs thrown in for good measure. A most enjoyable weekend.
