  1. It's not legally necessary to have a company secretary. That changed years ago.
  2. How was the grub? Press box sarnies at Livingston for the challenge Cup final were superb.
  3. Lynas has filled in at CB lage on in games before to alright effect. Needs must I suppose. Didn't Carlo play CB in a pre season game?
  4. Where are these rumours about Gray coming from? Obviously I'm not expecting anyone to break someone's confidence, but are they coming from a reputable source, or is it merely supposition?
  5. I mentioned that to my nephew as well. McLean had a shot on target, a header on target, Durnan hit the bar, Wilson had a shot on target and we had loads blocked or off target (Gregg Wylde recreating his miss from Tuesday twice, once by being ahead of the ball, once by skying it). The shots we had on target were all easy takes for Martin and we'll need to improve our finishing to make the most of the new playing style. Shame Blair's attempt at a wonder goal never went in.
  6. It's definitely still early season for them also, but my main takeaway from their performance was that they look as fat, slow and useless as they did mid season last term. Had that been a League game in a few months time when both teams are at full sharpness and with full squads to choose from, I've no doubt we win that. Byrne has goals in him, but sadly he's made of chocolate.
  7. Enjoyed that yesterday. The new signings and style are a breath of fresh air. Lynas, Crichton, Durnan, Blair, Broun, McLean, Ruth all impressed. Lynas probably my MOTM. As all others have said; injuries and early season starts left us dead on our feet and without the depth to make changes. I can see that new attacking style paying off once the 'real' stuff starts and hopefully the goals should come. Bonnyrigg were abject and looked as overweight and unfit as I mentioned last season. The number of unforced errors they made was astonishing and I found myself laughing out loud at their ineptitude about a dozen times. If I have a criticism of Sons' performance to counter my positivity above, it's that we really should be scoring against such poor opposition. For all the predictions that various clubs' fans have made, Elgin and Clyde will really have to be rotten to finish below Rose, who's unfitness, lack of ability to do the most basic ball control and passing, reminds me of the bad old days of Division 3 when the likes of ourselves, Shire, Forfar and QP were battling it out for 10th and the players/football quality was that poor all the time. But that kind of (lack of) quality of football was around 20 years ago and Rose look well off the modern fitness and ability levels. As they did last season, too.
  8. Is it yellow? I could start a new business selling hooky goods.
  9. The new guys were alright, but when you're used to driving a Mercedes S Class, getting a Vauxhall Nova is a bit of a letdown.
  10. This is an outrage. Will the Rock and Goal Podcast be returning?
  11. Thought we were worth the win tonight and played well. Took the goals excellently. Lucky to have a couple of inbound Caley strikes cleared off the line, plus their 2 that hit the bar. Caley well on top the last 15 or so when Sons looked knackered, but an excellent result.
  12. Enjoyed that. Played well and 2 lovely goals. Couldn't tell if Caley goal crossed the line. Hopefully Carlo and Hilton only taken off as precautions. Thought 98 minutes seemed a bit much. Could see we were knackered from 75 onwards. Who are the 2 new guys on mics? What's happened to Chris and Fraser?
  13. If @ICTChris wants his jaw spun I'll be at the ground this evening wearing my brass nux.
  14. You can park in the stadium car park, or the residential streets outside.
  15. Joking aside, I think it's not a bad idea. I also like the business raffle idea. If anyone has the ear of the club, I'd be in for either of those.
  16. Now if I could only remember who it was who said he'd be playing non league very soon...? I'm sure his username was something like suite peat.
  17. Bankies have gone about their business the last few years impeccably, and continue to do things progressively and in the right way. Any failure to build DFC is the fault of DFC and not WDC or anyone else.
  18. Probably Forfar or Dumbarton favourites for me. Maybe EF another possibility. I don't get the Stenhousemuir for top votes, they look weaker than last season and finished 6th then.
