Enjoyed that yesterday. The new signings and style are a breath of fresh air. Lynas, Crichton, Durnan, Blair, Broun, McLean, Ruth all impressed. Lynas probably my MOTM. As all others have said; injuries and early season starts left us dead on our feet and without the depth to make changes. I can see that new attacking style paying off once the 'real' stuff starts and hopefully the goals should come.
Bonnyrigg were abject and looked as overweight and unfit as I mentioned last season. The number of unforced errors they made was astonishing and I found myself laughing out loud at their ineptitude about a dozen times. If I have a criticism of Sons' performance to counter my positivity above, it's that we really should be scoring against such poor opposition. For all the predictions that various clubs' fans have made, Elgin and Clyde will really have to be rotten to finish below Rose, who's unfitness, lack of ability to do the most basic ball control and passing, reminds me of the bad old days of Division 3 when the likes of ourselves, Shire, Forfar and QP were battling it out for 10th and the players/football quality was that poor all the time. But that kind of (lack of) quality of football was around 20 years ago and Rose look well off the modern fitness and ability levels. As they did last season, too.
