    He was hugely unpopular with the St Mirren support and they continually flirted with relegation over that time whilst playing some awful football and having an horrendous record. He then did the same with Queens with disasterous results for them. Getting St Mirren promoted a decade ago and moving a division three club up a few places is hardly a proven track record. He's a dinosaur who specialises in anti-football.

    After the utter horror of the tension at Arbroat in the semi, the two legs of the final felt comfortable by comparison. The first leg was still a bit nervy at first, but nowhere near the agony of Gayfield. Second leg of the final felt like it was in the bag before the game even kicked off, and you could see our players believed it more than Airdrie's.

    Three years ago today since the playoff final win at Airdrie. Try and remember these great days, because the number of shite days getting pumped by diddies at shite grounds in the lowest division weren't so very long ago. This is a golden age for the club.
