  1. Not that we'd bring many anyway, but they're definitely two Accies fans down for Saturday.
  2. Every player is allowed to miss a penalty so why didn't Moyo take it? Given the wind, surely you'd aim to hit a penalty hard and low? Hughes had a decent first half too but fell away badly and it must've been a toss up between him and Mimnaugh as to who got hooked first. Hooking both of them and putting on Lawson as well as Martin would've been my choice. Yet again we can't beat this mediocre lot. I'm aware we are that too but I honestly feel we are slightly better. How on earth Popescu wins our MOTM I don't know. Committed performance but christ, he's a bomb scare. Kennedy or O'Reilly for me. Josh Mullin continues to disappoint. And another thing - the booking of Moyo was a disgrace. It looked as though Beaton was not going to book the player who hauled our player back by the neck. Beaton should have ran straight to him and flashed the yellow. I believe he only eventually booked him because of the outrage from the stands. I think his mind was elsewhere the whole game, probably down to his favourites dropping points in Dingwall earlier.
  3. Attended my first WoSFL game today, Blantyre Vics v Pollok. A better game than I expected. All Pollok first half though they didn't do a great deal in final third. Just after Vics almost stole the lead, Pollok got in front on 45+1. Second half and Vics were fast out the blocks, three early corners and two good chances. Very even second half. Pollok got a penalty though it seemed to come off the player's side. Great save by Campbell. Pollok saw it out but you'd never think virtually the entire league was between the teams. Excellent crowd of 418, I'd estimate 300 from the Southside.
  4. I was one of 180 Accies fans at the 5-0 game. We went into the match already top of the league. There was an Old Firm game on live that lunchtime...
  5. Pollute the top flight by pumping Well 5-0, 4-0, 4-1, 3-1 (the last three at Fir Park), 3-0, 2-0, 2-1, 1-0. I may have missed a couple.
  6. Called it. A better game than last week's, just. Lucky to get a point. Worrying Martin's reaction to his injury, looks like he might be back out for a bit. Hopefully not.
  7. This fixture has a habit of finishing 1-1, going back to the mid-80s. My first visit was that score in 84/5, Pat McCurdy scoring a belter for us. Been a fair few since so that's my prediction. With Inverness, Killie and Arbroath next, we really need to be winning.
  8. Were the banned fans protesting today or was it down to the abuse after the final whistle last week? I didn't hear it btw, I left as soon as the whistle went but I can imagine that they didn't hold back.
  9. That's all they deserve after last week. Sick of Accies pissing about with the Scottish Cup.
  10. The Pars did well to score against us at NDP that day as we only lost another two goals at home for the rest of the season. Wouldn't be shocked if we lost three goals in Saturday. I won't be there to see it.
  11. In all my 40+ years of watching Accies we have NEVER had a home crowd as low as that, not even a fixture at Firhill when there was an organised boycott. That was only about 170 tonight. And I'm glad it was that bad. Hopefully Saturday is the same. Not a penny more to that fucker McGowan. As for the gloating Morton fan, bad as we are currently, we've had eleven seasons in the Premier since you were last there.
  12. I remember the first time I clapped eyes on Jane Lewis. She was new to the sports section on STV News. This must be nearly twenty years ago. It was pre-season and she was talking about a friendly between Motherwell and Queens Park Rangers "that match taking place at Hampden". Of course it was Queen's Park and she'd clearly never heard of them but somehow she got that job. She hasn't improved. I'm sure she's a lovely person but, like Chick Young, only in Scotland would someone that inept get a gig like that. Oh and come on Brechin in the replay!
  13. Fair enough Accies1, and you're spot on about his ball watching at the second.
  14. I can't believe some Accies fans think that wasn't a red card. He's not done it with any intent but you can't lunge in like that and expect to stay on, especially when you injure your opponent. From first viewing at the time and from 80 yards away I said it was a shocker.
  15. So you have, when Jai Quitongo ran us ragged. Not sure when you last beat us at Cappielow though, it's been all Accies wins and draws last half dozen visits at least and we used to win there regularly in the 90s. In fact last defeat at Cappielow I can remember was against Clydebank in 2001 I think, when they were groundsharing. There must have been at least one since then but I can't recall it.
  16. Morton were certainly due a win against their bogey team. I can't think of another team I've seen Accies win more against than the Ton over the past 40 years. You defended very well and in Ugwu you have a striker superior to anything we have though Andy Ryan has looked good so far. I thought ref was ok apart from two fouls Ugwu should have got in latter part of game.
  17. Accies can only dream of 800. I think the last time we were around that mark was two seasons in the middle of our Premier stay when the board cut the price to £130 then £150. We might have reached 900. This was the price for everybody so hard luck if you were a pensioner, you didn't see much of a saving. Someone on the Accies forum said we'd sold less than 150. We only sold 549 in 19/20.
  18. Live to know what game McFadden is watching. We've been brutal. Gilmour for Armstrong and push McTominay forward.
  19. A sad day. Usual idiots will talk about getting did of the bottom feeders, ignoring the ambition they showed getting to the Championship in 2017. Fear for them.
  20. For once, I actually want Dundee to win. Killie are long overdue a relegation. But I can't see it, 4-2 aggregate win for the ultimate jobby that won't flush.
  21. I also think McMann will be away in the summer, probably to a "bottom six" Premiership team but it wouldn't surprise me if he headed down south to League One, although maybe the new Preston boss could be interested. He'd be a decent squad player if nothing else. Rice really is a deluded man if he thought we were excellent last night. And it looks like we're stuck with him. Any normal club would have sacked him after Stranraer, if not Annan before then. Remember that bizarre decision at home to St Johnstone, around 83 minutes, we were 1-0 up and he changed the defence for seemingly no good reason and we lost a goal on 87 and ended up with just a point. So many strange decisions, worse than even Canning. At least the fans might enjoy the away days next season because I have a horrible feeling it could be a season of struggle.
