Take Sula and Forbes off, drop Whyte into centre back and bring Liam Scullion and Carswell on.
Half an hour later, we’ve got there.

This is dreadful.

Just the 4 centre backs in the team tonight and Forbes to bring some mobility in midfield. What are we worried about?

We're never going to have a better chance to progress through these first two rounds than we have now.
I’m sure Musselburgh and jeanfield are thinking the same.

If only EK had been able to sign a few more players ahead of this….

Jim McIntyre is a done deal.
I'd imagine announcement imminent with him being unattached.
Source?
I was just about to post tonight’s latest unrealistic suggestion as well! With Maitland leading the search I was thinking out of work Clyde legend and looking to get his career back on track Mr Jack Ross.

John Hughes is a walking cliche and a complete yesterdays man. He has previous for coming into struggling teams and getting them relegated (see raith and Dunfermline). Players just don’t respond well to old school kicking their arses or giving them the hairdryer treatment these days.
It’s obviously vital we get this appointment correct but some of the same old names being dropped are depressing. If the money man has ambitions to move us forward as a club surely getting a progressive manager in is the first thing to get right.
Whilst Jim McInally probably isn’t the answer long term (he failed to really move Peterhead on from a poor league 1 side despite a healthy budget for most of his tenure) he would bring stability and has experience of getting promotion from this league which has to be the aim next season if we can survive this one.

Got an inescapable feeling it’s going to be Peter Grant Sr…
We already have one Peter grant too many.

Scott Brown. Come on now let's live in the real world.
McInally would be the best shout from those mentioned.
To be fair not many would have expected Barry Ferguson to rock up at League 2 Clyde after a caretaker spell in the English Championship. It’s a bit of a stretch sure but no harm in asking the question.
McInally is a decent enough shout and far more realistic I guess.

It would be a bit ambitious given our current level but it would surely be worth at least sounding out Scott Brown. That would be a high profile and exciting appointment, he has experience of management down south, a winning mentality. He did pretty well with Fleetwood last season before a slow start this campaign.
Granted it could go the way of Barry Ferguson but it would be an interesting appointment instead of some uninspiring auld dinosaur.
He will probably walk into a job much further up the chain than us soon enough but while he’s free we could ask…

Sir Patrick Scullion has the Shire punching above their weight in 15th place in the lowland league. We could bypass the interview due to his legend status at the club surely?

Nice and local for Barry Ferguson
He’s almost taken us to the lowland league before, I’m sure he’d jump at the chance to complete that mission but it’s a firm no thanks from us.

Seeing a lot of support for McLean on social media and he may well be ‘a lovely big guy’ but whilst he was undoubtedly stitched up by the board and by Duffys dreadful recruitment I have seen nothing to suggest he is or will be manager material.
His decision making during games and tactical nous are very questionable and given his media persona I struggle to see how he motivates his team. He would have been better served assisting an experienced manager but Duffy was NOT that man.

Had planned to get the train through and a few pints the Saturday so that’s that fucked!
Potential embarrassment live on national tv incoming…
Yeah would’ve headed through on the Saturday but doubt I’ll bother on a Monday night.

Our humiliation vs Musselburgh is live on tv on the Monday night now I see

Wow, it’s only Tuesday and we’ve already had racism and promotion of illegal streaming, it’s going to be mental in here by Friday.

I see that mark Stowe didn’t come off the bench last week at all and only came on at 90th minute this week. Surely he can’t be happy with so little game time, as I’ve said before a player that could be an absolute game changer for us. Surely worth asking the question about a loan…

If he was registered with Berwick after transfer window closed he can’t sign with another spfl club.
He could be signed on loan, the loan window is still open and as long as his wages were being covered it sounds like Berwick would be happy.
Not suggesting necessarily we should btw, just that it could be done.

The wee man woke up this morning "is is Saturday?" Yes, "Yass! Clyde are gonna win today!"
Don't worry I've checked him for a fever and he seems to be fine. I wish I shared his optimism though.
We can’t make it today, the wee guy is gutted (for some reason). I’ve got to the stage where I’m really not that bothered. Still hoping for a win obviously, todays game could be season defining. After 11 games and no wins we really need this today.

This game is going to be so awful it barely deserves one thread, never mind two!
