The amount of Morton fans moaning at him being loaned out is a promising sign and he’s defo going to be an upgrade on Dylan Duncan so reasonably pleased. Could still urgently do with a few more through the door though.

Ffs this clown was obviously not getting enough attention posting the same auld pish in the Clyde thread so he’s branched out into starting his own.
Danny Lennon has more than his fair share of blame for where we are now. An absolutely mental shout from either a relentless troll or complete simpleton (probably both).

Linlithgow were disappointing given how well they played midweek vs East Kilbride, granted they did make a few changes to the team today.
The big number 9 for Whitburn looks to be a bit of a player.

Sorry to burst your bubbles but Stowe has had a wee muscle injury that he picked up in training and I would be absolutely amazed if we sent the guy out on loan he’s looked very promising every minute he’s played and him on one side and Jermaine Hylton on the other is a very exciting prospect and something I would like to see more of
And yeah you absolutely can’t, we look like a pretty solid Championship side again now everyone is up to speed and we’ve made signings, really should’ve won our last 3 games in my opinion and Stowe looks very much up to the part of playing an important role over the course of the season.Ah well, it’s not like we would be asking the question anyway, hope he has a good season with you.

Agreed. He looked absolutely superb for Linlithgow. At some point he seemed to clock on to the fact that the goalies at that level tend to be positionally poor and began shooting from absolutely everywhere and catching them out. He must have scored about 80 goals across two seasons including some genuinely outrageous strikes. I did think the jump to the Championship would be too great, but also by the same token he’ll have some much more attractive suitors than us if he’s available for loan.
You’re probably right but we need game changers, not wee laddies finding their way. We failed to bring any in before the window so it’s all on loans now. To me Stowe could be a game changer for us so we should be throwing everything we can at guys like that.

We should be looking to see if we can get Mark Stowe in on loan from Arbroath. He doesn’t seem to have really established himself there yet but he was an absolute goal machine at Linlithgow the previous couple of seasons. A loan at a higher level than where he played before would surely benefit Arbroath and it would definitely benefit us.

Mick Kennedy and Si Ferry really are a couple of horrible wee bellends. Sad to see the great man Bryson also is part of the back room team.
Hopefully Linlithgow (a proper football team rather than a bankrolled vanity project) give them a going over tonight.

Joint bottom of league 2, Chairman who hasn’t a clue, Manager who couldn’t run a bath, Squad of players who couldn’t compete in an amateur league and you guys are talking about Morton’s rolls. I must be on a different planet.
Will it make any difference if we all mentioned it in every single post on here the way you do?

Random question, does anyone know if the boat in the badge is a particular boat or just a generic design?
The titanic would be apt.

I think that’s as good a shout as any to be honest.
Is he a ‘game changer’ though, don’t know much about him tbh .
Young lad Andrew Tod at Dunfermline was on loan at Elgin last season and is a bit of a baller.

I’m actually looking through the team lines for the Championship matches today trying to see if I can figure something out. The email this morning seemed to suggest that the player would be in the squad for his club today and only Morton and Arbroath seemed short on the bench. Lewis McGrattan at Morton had popped into my head, but it looks as though he’s possibly a bit too involved in their first team to be coming out on loan. Unfortunately, I don’t have too much knowledge of players in the Championship nowadays so I’m pretty unsure as to who else it could be.
Keaghan jacobs at arbroath or Blair Alston at thistle .
No idea how involved these guys usually are tbh, just a shot in the dark looking at todays teamlines.

Falkirk. A past player for us.
Not a former player of us but Stephen McGinn is well out of favour at Falkirk and an experienced CM.
Not sure he is the fittest or most mobile right enough but a decent player.

We should stick the left over budget on the opposition between now and Christmas, that should bulk it up nicely.

This is an utter disgrace.
Mind you can still sign up for the crossbar challenge tomorrow though.

Announce an 18 year old who’s sat on the bench for his parent club a few times.

Think everyone could’ve done with a lift before tomorrows game but doesn’t look like it’s coming.
A lift such as a postponement?

Can’t wait for some deadline day drama tomorrow.
See there is a guy playing for Cumbernauld Colts called Billy Mortimer banging them in and is currently the second top scorer in the lowland with 7 already this season, maybe he’s worth a punt…
As a right back of course…

It’s encouraging that the club is making effort to land one- not encouraging that they recognise we need one- hence the appropriate use of the word.
If they weren’t making every effort to land a striker it would be unforgivable in the position we are in. I’ll save the feelings of encouragement for if we actually land anyone of note.

I was told in confidence I'm afraid...but it's very encouraging to hear we are looking for a striker.
How is that encouraging? Stevie wonder could see we need a striker. It will be encouraging if we actually land one that isn’t currently playing park football somewhere.

Dreadful patter.
To be fair to him it’s just as likely as Jack Ross, a fairly respectable manager with experience down south and in the top flight deciding to be assistant to a rookie at the bottom of league 2. Mental shout.

Just watched the highlight. Jesus suffering f**k, what a goal to give away. Easiest header that Grant could ever have. As others have said, he must have gotten a shout from somewhere.
Even if you do get a shout, he’s a very experienced player, with a header that simple and in the last minute of the game letting it drop behind you is an unnecessary risk. Just head it to f**k like he did with most other balls the rest of the game.

I think by all accounts he made a difference although Peter grant should take a look at himself as he cost us all 3 points. The guy is an amateur at best.
Were we going to win 0-0 until Grants mistake?

Are we running a football club or a crèche FFS. No doubt some promising players but almost a full team of them is a concern.
