  1. Pretty football is not the same as effective football - the league table clearly shows Raith are a better team than Arbroath.
  2. It'll be the thought of all those contracts he's lost!
  3. How could the bowlers not have known?
  4. My opinion isn't down to the guys religion but his membership of the Labour Party.
  5. Now I definitely don't consider it neutral.
  6. I don't consider the article to be neutral, perhaps Lex could name his source.
  7. Giving Corbyn the benefit of the doubt here, I reckon if he'd given the mural more than a cursory glance he'd have seen it's the wrong side of the anti Semitism/Zionism line and not had to backtrack.
  8. Payback for the Du Plessis affair during SA's last tour of Australia. The amount of humbug is staggering, there's only one direction to go once you've taken the moral highground - downwards.
  9. As div said there'll be squad changes, I'd imagine there'll be a change to the style of football we play in the top flight too. Although we've only had three league defeats (so far) they've all been by three goals, add in the heavy cup defeats to Thistle and particularly Aberdeen (which came in the middle of a good league run) and its clear we've a lot of work to do. Still its not all gloom - as you say most promoted teams carry a bit of momentum and often a better team spirit than those who've been hanging around the Bottom Six for a while. You just have to go with Doris Day - Que sera sera.
  10. I wouldn't say the difference is that great. As an aside JR was very complimentary about Stelios in the QotS post match interview.
  11. Probably in the minority but I'd choose him before Eckersley - younger & less injury prone.
  12. Close run contest between TM & Brechin as to who are having the worst season!
  13. KP retired, plans to save the rhino from extinction apparently- good luck to him!
  14. Mainly for geographical reasons - c) Promoted - Us & Them Relegated - Ross County & Dundee
  15. Working today so didn't find out the score till about a minute ago - even a pessimist like me is finding it hard not to believe now!
  16. I presume the report is covered by parliamentary privilege and therefore the authors cant be sued. It might have been more fun if Wiggo had been able to go to the "Court of Public Opinion" to see who was believed - would he have chanced it?
  17. Funny A bit off topic but it’s funny to see Mr. Clean getting a bit of the ordure thrown at him! ************************* Believable?
  18. They'd be careful about where they said them, even on the factory floor its the 21st century. I'm assuming Gaffney got selected on the Buggins Turn principle, anyone who couldn't foresee this as the likely outcome is a dinosaur - pea-brained and outdated.
  19. But as KM is no longer a member we'll only get one side of the story or more likely it'll be brushed under the carpet.
  20. Flawed analysis by Soubry - neither Major or Cameron were "great leaders". Major never controlled the "b*****ds" on his backbenches and lost the little credibility he had left when his "back to basics" campaign backfired. Cameron miscalculated that a Tory/Lib-Dem/Labour Alliance would give Remain an easy victory forgetting the Lib-Dems were still regarded as toxic from their coalition with him (!) and not understanding that Labour's support under Corbyn was going to be half-hearted at best. May's not going to do anything to upset the Eurosceptics that's the section of the party she comes from. Her decision to back Remain during the referendum surprised many and was clearly a tactical ploy for a future bid to be Tory Party leader - well she got what she wanted! Cameron's change of mind wrt quitting after the referendum was probably the smartest decision he ever made, Brexit was always gonna be a nightmare which May compounded by losing her majority last June. The scale of how badly its going can be seen by May having to struggle to hold onto a job nobody else wants at present!
