Congrats ICT. Great to see a couple of clubs getting their name on this trophey for the first time in recent years. Both very deserving given what they've done for the game in this country in the past few years! ETA - Well done to the bairns too. I felt they were right up against it. I was on my way out the door with about 20mins to go and listened to the rest on the radio and they made a real game of it.

Victoria Parkrun for me this morning. Been targeting 10k this year so it was my first real go at 5k this year. Got round in 20:34 taking almost a mintue and a half from my previous best. Set the goal of a sub 20 minute 5k for this year so that's pretty good progress towards that.

Done the 10k at loch katrine this morning in 44:25. Had hoped for a bit faster but it's a pb by about 30 seconds over a pretty tough undulating couse. Finished in the first 10 for the first time, so I'm pleased with that. Really good wee event; excellent atmosphere and scenery. Might go for the HM next year.

There's guy on mine who pretty much every week posts that a team done him out of x00 pounds. He's a bit of a cock so it doesn't really bother me.

Tussocky grass... *shudder* Coming off Glas Bheinn Mhor (Glen Etive) was a nightmare for this stuff. It took me about the same amount of time to walk the last 2 miles over flat elevation than it had taken me to walk the first 2 miles and 2000ft up Ben Starav. Not the sort of stuff you want to deal with after your legs have a days worth of hiking in them. I'd rather be knee deep in a bog.

Done Buchlyvie 10k on Saturday. Took 2 minutes off my old pb with a time of 44:54 (not run a 10k for about a year though). Happy enough with the run and it give me an idea of where I'm at since I'm planning on doing a good few 10ks this year. Quite a quick course although quite exposed - a nasty headwind with a couple of kms to go made it quite tough toward the end - and pretty wet and muddy for the most part. Getting a mug instead of a medal was a nice touch. At least I'll get some use out that. Has anyone done the Buchlyvie 10k? Thinking of going along to it a week on Saturday. It's full but apparently there's 50 places for first come first served on the day. Looking for course information but there's not much about. I've signed up for the 10k at Loch Katrine on in March so just wanting to get an idea of how my 10k pace is in the lead up to that.

I've noticed most whisky bars tend to have straws in the jugs now so you can add a smaller drop.

I got balvenie 14 Caribbean cask and aberlour 12 this year. Santa's some boy.

I've had the G3 for a couple of months and don't really have any issues with it. It's pretty much the same spec as the S5 so there shouldn't be much difference. I would say that while screen is the best in terms of size and resolution it's not as vibrant as it could be and colours tend to be a wee bit more washed out than on other handsets.

1:46:12 for me at the gsr 1/2 today. Had originally targeted 1:45 but following a summer of stags weddings and generally too much boozing I would have settled for anything under 2 hours this morning. So I'm pretty happy. Well done to everyone else that took part!

Got up a few in the past couple of months: Ben More and Stob Binnein Meall nan Tarmachan - nice easy wee ridge walk. Ben Vorlich (Loch Lomond) Ben Starav, Beinn nan Aighenan and Glas Bheinn Mhor - Cracking walk with great views over to Cruachan and round to the back of Glen Coe. Bidean nam Bian and Stob Coire Sgreamhach - Unfortunatly didn't get the best oif weather for this one.

Just let the rest of the UK decide. We clearly can't be trusted to make a correct decision for ourselves. It's what most of the electorate would want.

Edinburgh marathon festival...

Went up Beinn A'Chroin and An Caisteal on Saturday. Was on Cairngorm and Ben Macdui the week before.

Emf 10k for me this morning. First time I've raced that distance. Watch timed me pretty much bang on 47 minutes. Was targeting anything under 48. ETA provisional time 47:02

I think 11 months is maybe still a bit young. Running on concrete isn't the best for a pups devloping bones. It might be best to check with a vet first.
