Attended a hustings event at Strathclyde where Cat Boyd was one of the speakers. I don't know what any of their policies apart from a vague notion of "taxing the rich". It's a shame because I could get behind a radical left wing party (and a few of their candidates, like James McEnaney are decent, intelligent people) but this mob isn't it.

Enjoyable game on Friday night. Stuart Hogg's try was class, as was Tommy Seymour's. A decent Six Nations this year too. Competed with the better teams, apart from England, and, of course, came away with a couple of wins. Target has to be starting to beat the better teams rather than just giving them a game. Hope Hogg can keep up his current form going into next year. Shoe - in for the Lions tour if he does.

Wolf of Wall Street. Very good film if a bit long. Fancy seeing the Big Short sometime soon.

Finished this earlier in the week. A consistently excellent show, particularly the early to middle series. Thought series 8 dipped a bit but series 9 brought it back up again. Was happy but also sad when it came to end. Probably the perfect ending but emotional moments too. Creed and Dwight are two of TVs all - time great characters.

Been getting into the Clone Wars lately. Just finished the first series and enjoyed it with some great episodes although some were better than others. Hope it gets better as it goes on.

Have heard that you might be signing Scott Smith (Dundee United) on loan. He's a centre - mid and was largely anonymous with us to the point where you'd be asking yourself who was playing in the midfield. Having said that he might be able to do the business in League 2 although I wouldn't bank on it.

Star Wars the Force Awakens - 9/10. Outstanding.

Saw it today. Was excellent. Much better than the prequels and easily one of the best Star Wars films. BB - 8, Finn and the new characters were all excellent additions. Rey was fucking brilliant. Does anyone know who the Scottish guy was? (Can't remember his character's name).

The one where Mark becomes friends with a racist (Daryl?) is my favourite.

Loved it. Highlight was the water - boarding scene. Hopefully this series will have plenty of Super Hans and Johnson.

Coogans is a decent addition. Good movement, decent on the ball and a good finisher. Full - time training with Huddersfield will have only improved his game.

Any reason why Coult has left (apart from being pish obviously)? I thought he was getting a game for yourselves.

I think that a catch - all left - wing party is a good idea and is needed. Unfortunately the SSP carry a lot of problems and baggage that are still ongoing. There's other parties that aren't involved that arguably should be such as TUSC, CP etc. I think they're a year too late as well to make any impact at 2016. It was a mistake on their part to not come together last year. They've effectively been set up to take left - wing votes from the SNP. If they force the SNP further left though that can only be a good thing. They would but the SNP currently isn't left or radical enough and so by standing, it forces them to move further left.
