  1. What's the craic with the Czechs anyhoo? Thought they’d rebranded to Czechia but it's wall-to-wall Czech Republic on the hats and scarves out there!?
  2. TBF it's his second match of the tournament after refereeing the opener
  3. I'm well into my 50s but must've sang 'I know something you don't know' in my head about 10 times already.
  4. What does Lukaku do between tournaments to justify not turning up for any of them?
  5. Anyone else unable to use their free Β£1 Skybet Betbuilder? I'm wondering if I'm exempt despite a notification confirming I've opted in!
  6. Most league points. Highest Home attendance. Fewest defeats.
  7. Can anyone remind me why 'Rangers' fans cite 'the corrupt SFA' as a reason for them to support <checks notes> England? As I remember it, and I might be wrong, the SFA did everything they could to facilitate some sort of continuation!?
  8. I want to believe that's a parody. Assuming it's not ... he won't support Scotland cause they're rubbish and he doesn't like the SNP or the Tories When he gets asked why he supports England he says it's because they sing GSTK What an absolute fucking fruit-loop!! It's not a parody is it
  9. He's followed it up by claiming it's a picture of casualties being evacuated! He's as thick as fucking shit.
  10. No bother, went down a bit of a rabbit hole, On the 6th of June 5th btn Black Watch went ashore at 'Frey-sur-mer' at 20:30 On the morning of the 11th, when your gt grandfather was killed, they'd been tasked with capturing Breville but met heavy resistance and suffered heavy casualties before withdrawing. https://www.pegasusarchive.org/normandy/war_5BlackWatch.htm I think "Frey-sur-mer" is a D-day typo for "Graye-sur-mer" - Juno Beach. 80 years ago right now your gt grandfather was at sea and around 8 hours away from landing RIP Robert.
  11. Robert Hamilton? You'll have probably seen this but just in case: https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/2342822/robert-hamilton/
  12. We had a delivery driver back in the day that most people couldn't really be bothered with that I didn't mind at all - we spent hours chatting about all kinds of boring shite until one day he just threw in that he'd went ashore at Sword. He wasn't in the first wave and met absolutely no resistance - said the first contact with the enemy he made was on the 7th when a sniper started taking pot-shots at them crossing a field I'm sure he had more stories to tell but that was all I ever got out of him about the war. He was a fair age when I met him and he'll be long gone now - I only ever knew him as Cyril, never knew his second name, nice wee fella but boring as f'ck most of the time.
  13. Sobering statement from ICT - could easily have been us. Bit of a bogey side for us in the Cups but good luck to them anyhoo.
  14. Fuxake - no age at all RIP etc.
  15. Playing Dumbarton away in a friendly on the 29th of June
  16. Yip - unbelievably cruel - 41 ffs! Ricksen, Weir, David Hagen, Burrows - all fitter than most of us will ever be - it's an absolute c'nt of a disease
  17. Honestly, folk can wax lyrically all they want in support of a synthetic ban but it all comes down to debunked soundbites about injuries or the ultimate cop-out 'iT's JuSt BeTtER oN gRaSs' There's no legitimate reason to ban plastic - anyone arguing otherwise can sook my plums.
  18. Boom I saw the fixtures, somewhere, right after the draw, them couldn't find them again when I went looking (fecking sure I did anyhoo )
  19. I see Sabbath are releasing a box set tomorrow focussing on the Toni Martin era called 'Anno Domini' There's no mention but I'm really hoping it's frees up the previously unlicensed 'Tyr' for online streaming cause it's a decent listen and I've not heard it in feckin years Underrated Sabbath period imo
