  1. Brian Hoyer starting on Sunday vs the Bears, ffs. Josh McDaniels is the absolute worst. What’s the point in playing a 38yo career backup when you’ve got a rookie you could be evaluating?
  2. He shouldn’t. But in Spanos, you’ve got a very good reason why he might. After the Chargers lose to KC next week to drop to 2-4 the schedule really opens up. Not a lot of tough games left in the final 9, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see you throw together a good run and finish 9-8 or 10-7 and the “improvement” in the second half of the season will see Staley retained yet again.
  3. All of the above? I think Payton’s ego is too big to tank because he’s such a sore loser, but it certainly looks like that might be what the Broncos are trying to do right now, given the Gregory trade and rumours of all the other players on the block.
  4. Because he’s Josh McDaniels and he’s an idiot. I’m surprised we won, but the Packers were really bad. Love doesn’t look like the guy tbh - which is probably just as well because the Packers have been spoiled at QB for 30 years so they were due a letdown at the position. After this win, and the fact we have a very generous schedule coming up for the next couple of months, I’m worried we’re playing ourselves out of the high draft picks and potentially *shudder* going to keep McDaniels for another year.
  5. I like Tony, he seems a good laugh. Speaking of laugh, though, his one sounds very weird. Like a bunch of "ck" noises coming from the back of the throat. Never heard anyone laugh like it.
  6. No. Statements have suggested that the dispute between directors is unrelated to this investment. It sounds like they started before the McClymont offer was on the table.
  7. Creevy actually seems a bit… unhinged? One minute talking about legal action, and the next splattering every thought he has about the situation all over social media.
  8. Doing good things with your money and being a dick are not mutually exclusive. His cash got us through to the end of the season, which gave the club time to steady the ship. I don’t think we could be selective at that point in who we were taking cash from, and yeah, as others have said that investment should obviously be appreciated. That shouldn’t detract from anything he may have done (or not done) since then which deemed him worthy of getting the boot.
  9. The Polmont Loyal, another band of losers for the list. It’s great to think about how miserable these sort of utter reprobates will be right now.
  10. “Ross Count” ”Chri Ross” ”Douglas MacRae/Douglas MacRea” That’s just individual names that I’ve noticed spelling mistakes for. Haven’t even properly read the main body of text where I’m sure there will be many, many more grammatical disasters to be found. Based on this alone, it looks like we made the right decision to get rid of Creevy
  11. Of course it would be nice to know the terms of the investment. It would also be nice to know a lot of things at the football club, but just because we’re fan-owned now doesn’t mean it’s open season and everyone on a forum or social media gets to know everything. That’s not what fan ownership is.
  12. I think the last sentence probably sums up the lack of public comment. It’ll probably come out eventually, just like it did with that lunatic Low.
  13. Antonio Di Natale was another one like that. Had a few caps before he turned 30, but almost all of the best work of his career, including the majority of his 42 caps were achieved when he was in his 30s.
  14. True, but as per TJF it can never drop below 51%. I don’t think this investment is linked to the removal of Creevy. Just coincidence that both items have broken on the same day.
  15. Regardless of what’s gone on and how justified his removal from the board may be, optically it looks terrible.
  16. Adams caught the ball inside the end zone but the refs ruled it short. Instead of challenging it, McDaniels ran another play. We scored on that drive anyway but your bet should have landed if it wasn’t for shite refs (surprise!) and an idiot HC.
  17. We're pretty much the same size as we've been for some time now. The only difference between us and certain other similarly-sized clubs appears to be that we haven't started declaring fake attendances yet. Maybe if we start doing that you'll think we're a big club again.
  18. Fair enough - I heard someone say 500-odd so no idea where that number came from, but the tannoy in the JL is dreadful which probably explains it. Either way, doesn’t really change my initial point. Ideally we’d be getting more through the door than 2930, but our home gate for standard games ranges from about 2500-3500, so yesterday is just… what our support is these days and has been for a long time.
  19. The attendance was 3700 yesterday, with over 3k home fans. Which for a run of the mill league game is pretty much at the high end of where our support has been for the past decade or so. Weird crowdwank/trolling attempt tbh.
  20. Can’t agree with all the Pars chat about multiple stonewall penalties missed. The handball one looked like a shocker of a decision which we got away with, but after that (legitimate) injustice the away fans just started screaming for everything, the majority of which there was absolutely nothing in. That one decision aside, the referee was just a bog standard lower league Scottish ref who makes a lot of questionable decisions for both teams. As many others have said, the first half was pretty even, with plenty of chances created on both sides. Nobody could have had any complaints if both teams went down the tunnel at HT with a couple of goals each. Second half though, we really stepped up a level and bossed the game, with McInroy at the centre of it all. For a team who kept so many clean sheets last season, I couldn’t believe how wide open Dunfermline were at the back. It seemed so easy for us to just flick the ball around a corner between the two CBs and someone was clean through on goal. No idea if the personnel has changed much from last year, but the Pars defending was atrocious at times. Nice to get back to winning ways after last week’s shitshow. Hopefully we can start to string together another decent run now.
