  1. I played for Clackmannanshire Boys v Perthshire Boys in 1976 at Pitlochry. Got humped 7&5. I only got one other game.
  2. Probably because it's a pile of sh*te.
  3. I like Speith too, but I don't have a problem with any of the USA team.
  4. Our attacking players haven't been linking up well enough with the midfield They don't hold the ball or consistently show good movement IMO. We've been badly missing Ross McIver.
  5. Record saying both loan deals are happening. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/bobby-wales-seals-kilmarnock-loan-31060168.amp
  6. All Teams calls should be cancelled on Ryder Cup friday.
  7. "several people are typing" whenever I look at the thread.
  8. What does Luke do for the fourballs? Which of the successful partnerships does he break up, if any?
  9. Wasn't sure about a couple of the European pairings, thought the yanks looked more solid. Appears Luke knows more than me.
  10. Would be reasonably happy with this signing. Not got a prolific scoring record, but starts with a clean slate and I'll judge him on his performances for Alloa (should he indeed sign). Another forward option is positive.
  11. At least people have stopped over reacting. What a pile of sh*te some posters come away with.
  12. I couldn't make the game yesterday and it sounds like it was a fairly typical performance - except maybe that the defence is more solid/settled - but I must admit I was surprised Virtanen started when Roberts did too. I know Scougs isn't quite fit yet and maybe Kev missed training with his job, but another more attacking player seems the obvious change. I agree with the detail and reasoning of what you say, I just think talk of next week being must win or Rice goes is premature. I wouldn't be in favour of getting rid of any manager this early in the season (unless it was a clear disaster with no way back). Per the highlighted sentence, I don't think we are much different from last season, when we didn't play great football very often, but did end up having a successful season. We also had a very good end to the season when Chipper took over from Ferguson. It's a bit of a conundrum for me, I like Brian Rice, he's recruited well since he's been manager and on the whole results have been decent. No doubt though that the football we play isn't great and there's a consistent feeling of underachieving. With the midfield players we have we really shouldn't be second best in that area as much as we are.
  13. Was interesting to hear Ross put that down, at least partly, to the different role he has with Falkirk compared to last year with us. He's scoring poacher type goals, being in the right place to finish crosses or pounce on rebounds/loose balls close to goal. He seems a perfect fit for this Falkirk team.
  14. Indeed. He has different qualities to all of our other midfielders, none of who contribute much in the way of goal scoring threat (apart from Kev if he was played centrally - where Scougs has been most of the season). With that left peg you'd like to think he would get a few goals and assists with a run as an attacking midfielder.
  15. On the basis of his delivery from dead balls alone Cammy is worth his place in the team just now. Harsh on Deveny, who has been effective when he's played - perhaps there's a way of fitting them both?
  16. Can't get my head around why people are so desperate for managers to get sacked in September.
