  1. There's nothing like a late call off to bring the real idiots out.
  2. Good move for both player and club I think. Couple of goals in his first three or four games and he'll be off and running, hopefully.
  3. Hopefully, any surface water won't suit out liquid football. [emoji6]
  4. Not sure why Peter thinks that's ironic. [emoji20] Can't be bothered when managers talk pish about refs, but it's particularly annoying when they say a ref "couldn't wait to give" a decision. WTF does that even mean? [emoji848]
  5. I agree with that. The two that were given could easily not have been and the one that wasn't is not a pen for me. Difficult decisions for the ref. Couldn't make the game yesterday and have missed the last few, but it's clear the players need another couple of quality bodies in to give them a hand and rest (as Waspie rightly points out). As usual their effort and professionalism can't be faulted - Taggs and Robbo deserve special mention. Pleased for Adam Brown. Jamie Mac has been a brilliant signing. Hopefully there's no issue keeping him for the rest of the season.
  6. Good to see big Jim doing well at St Mirren.
  7. Is that us beaten the Pars three times in a row? I can't remember if the league draw was before or after the Challenge Cup win.
  8. Reading a lot of these posts, am I right thinking you Falkirk fans are most concerned with your defence?
  9. Yes, it's far too early to judge either of them. Knowing quite a bit about how Ross went about his job at Alloa and given what he's done since then, I expect he'll do very well at Hibs. Could be wrong of course. On Stendel, don't really feel I've got enough knowledge to say either way.
  10. Indeed. Sunderland was a thankless task as their fans are largely idiots and Jack Ross was never going to get the time required to really drain that swamp. Each point they drop under Parkinson gives me a warm glow.
  11. Yeah, it's been a tremendous ten years, with the semi-final win against Rangers probably the highlight. I think my favourite moment was Kirky's goal against Dumbarton in the playoff final win, with him running over to the fans followed by the rest of the players to celebrate. I was right in amoung those celebrations, which were well caught on camera. [emoji16] I don't do facebook at the moment, but knew a team of the decade was muted. I'll pass on my eleven. Difficult to set the rules for these things e.g. do loan players count (I'm assuming yes), is there a minimum number of games?
  12. Indeed. I look forward to having a similar thread to this every year. [emoji6]
  13. It isn't arbitrary. It's applying the right set of rules. Otherwise we could say the 'millenium' ended not in 2000, or 1999 but 1993 or any other random year. It's a case of keeping to intellectual standards or not. [emoji846]
  14. It's not shite, but it IS strictly correct. Start with year one and move forward to now in multiples of ten years. One of those decades' tenth year is 2000 (note, not 1999) the next one's is 2010 and the next 2020. You can select any consecutive ten year period as a decade for whatever reason you want, e.g. 2007 to 2016, but to do it properly it should end in a zero.
  15. Please don't encourage him. [emoji45] Fully expect us to take something from this game with Trouts nicking a goal or two.
