  1. To the thousands of Celtic fans from Paisley in particular, get it right up you, you absolutely embarrassing glory hunters.
  2. If we have to pay out anything for Neilson it'll be chickenfeed for a European group stage club like us. Sibbick is a shit defender. He's probably Better as a backup DM.
  3. Can't help but feel our recent troubles are down entirely to us not buying a backup cb. Attacking wise we've got a good squad together but shape comes from the back. Neilson jr looks a find at least.
  4. Really enjoyed reading the jealous posts from Aberdeen and Hibs fans. This will be torture for them, in the knowledge that they'll probably never get another chance at group stage football. £££££££££££££££££££££
  5. Gutted that we didn't win the crowd w**k but will settle for the scratch side picking up the 3 points. Enjoy this season's relegation scrap boys.
  6. My local plumber was at Parkhead that day too. One of the Morton fans was signing the sash and giving it the biggun all game to the Celts fans. He went so crazy he threw his moblie phone into the Celtic end. My plumber caught it mid air, cat like, Bonner like. When he picked himself up to rapturous applause the phone started I ring. He answered, it was Henrik Larsson who whispered the words 'something inside so strong' and hung up. To cut a long story short this cured his depression, Celtic went on to become a behemoth in world football.
  7. My wife was in the gym with Tony Watt on Saturday morning at the Crowne Plaza. She said he was gunning it on the bike. Charlie Mulgrew was lazing around the lobby later on. The man is an absolute dish as well as a cultured rock at the back. Had to hide my three quarter chub and I'm not ashamed to say it. Arabs must be feeling pretty good today anyway. Enjoy it boys.
  8. I get that as being a mitigating factor but he's got a responsibility to his employer to get the most out of our young players as they're assets so it goes down as a missed opportunity for me. The rejection perhaps elevated him too, again I understand that also. He regularly chucked young players in to start games at Parkhead and Ibrox then you'd never see them again. It didn't strike me as a particularly caring approach.
  9. He was slavering about his role in Josh Doig's development the other week on BBC radio. Didn't mention his decision to release him led to Hibs getting a £3m fee. An absolute fraud of a man. 4-6-0-c**t.
  10. I use the term 'clownshoe' a fair bit. Think it's a VT effort.
  11. Craig Levein's method of recruitment is to email all agents and ask 'got any interested players' or watch a YouTube compilation. We had a combination of total wildcard punts on 4 year deals and past it journeymen. See Juwon Oshaniwa, Loic Damour etc. He couldn't even secure good deals on selling players, see Aaron Hickey who's gone to Bretford for £18m and we got a £150k sell on fee. if you want to become Falkirk then sign the dinosaur up. He managed to guide a club with a £10m+ income into the Championship.
  12. Maybe that's what's going on with it. Happy to trust the process after a successful window last summer. If we can save £150k then it makes sense to wait. I'm hoping we've got another young player as good as Baningime lined up. Either that or a diminutive, mercurial flair player from Italy that nobody knows about. Either or.
  13. Better than Stewart I'd reckon. His massive forehead would stop some shots at least. Not sure how good his patter is though. Anti vaccine odd ball I think.
  14. I think it'd be sensible to go and get Shankland for £0.5m if it's possible. He's a known quantity, relatively anyway. I know a few fans were underwhelmed by the link but it's a safe enough bet he'd improve the squad. We've got the advantage over Hibs and Aberdeen of having a settled squad so if we get the forward and cb right then we're laughing I'd think.
  15. There's decent backup keepers out there. And they know they'll get at least a few games over what will be a busy season. Someone like Jamie McDonald who could come in and do a job, is maybe at the age where games aren't as important as picking up a decent last pay.
  16. Think about the abuse an Asian gets in this country and compare it to the abuse an Irishman gets. That'll be a good starting point to think about. Take your time.
  17. The Levein/Murray recruitment process was completely speculative, lacked any sort of monitoring or basic governance and ultimately led to the club's relegation after wasting millions of pounds of fans donations. What that has to do with the current recruitment team, who have so far a fantastic record, is beyond me. Would have preferred us to explore improved options but Neilson obviously thinks he can progress Cochrane and he's a capable player for a side who want to finish 3rd.
  18. I take your point but we would have group stage Euro games till Christmas each year. Also I think Edinburgh as a bigger settlement has the potential for a club with bigger sustained crowds. Anyway, despite the euro money we could always find a way to screw things up so I'm taking nothing for granted, we've not finished top 3 more than twice in a row for a long long time.
  19. f**k your neighbouring residential amenity. Also f**k being able to see the penalty box from the second tier of the Roseburn apparently. In seriousness, if we cement 3rd over the next 5 years and keep selling out tickets then an argument for expansion starts to stack up. The problem is you need about twice what we've spent on the main stand. Ideally you'd knock down the wheatfield and replace further back, dig down the pitch a couple of meters and add a few rows to the main stand front while widening the Roseburn and Gorgie which cannot be built higher. God knows whether the distillery are willing to sell land and move the ethanol tanks. The whole area needs masterplanned with them moving to the edge of town somewhere.
  20. I'm probably going against the grain a wee bit but I think Souttar has a role to play ideally to the end of this season unless we've got a good replacement scouted. 3rd place could be worth millions in Euro cash. I also think he's overrated. Great ball player but often wandering out of position. Rangers was the sensible move for him where they'll control games and he'll not need to be as switched on as down in the English Championship.
  21. Cigars snipped and ready for dat sweet 3rd place finish. St Johnstone clearly heading for the diddy league. Almost feel bad for their no neck propeller hat wearing gaffer.
  22. This whole website is built upon sneering at other teams supporters, isn't that the point?
  23. You can make a fair tackle and end up with the opposition player being injured but it's rare when you slide in. You get tackles like that in every other game in Scotland where excessive force is used technically warranting a card regardless of outcome and 9\10 times both players walk away and it lifts the crowd. The difficulty is when you're unlucky and it causes injury. Anderson was excessive and he bounced off the turf and onto Kingsley's leg. It's a difficult one to be consistent, most of us want to keep the blood and thunder tackles but it's an extremely thin line between getting it right and wrong.
  24. Anderson made a tackle which was out of control and caused injury to an opposing player. I don't see that intent is relevant in the rule book, it's a clear red card. The decision to bring play back when Walker was one on one was nonsense. Collum spoilt the game really, he blew the whistle for about 5 Dundee fouls which shouldn't have been given so the home support were not happy either. We weren't great but we had the bulk of possession, just a bit toothless. We need to try and shoot more, low at the goal and see what happens. Ultimately that's what led to the goal, if you have enough of the play in their third and keep shooting then a chance will spring up. Dundee were solid at the back to be fair and I suspect they'll be fine this year given that was a weakened side for them. Walker has proven yet again that he's very useful coming off the bench when you need a spark.
