Morrison is one of those frustrating players, great ability but end product is zero. Missed 2 sitters in the first half when Airdrie were dominant.

Fantastic result given our current resources. As they say onwards and upwards!

I’d expect something like this today considering injuries and departures. That only leaves us Cantley, Walker, McDonald, Ritchie, and a still recovering Gallagher on the bench (and maybe Pyott too but not entirely sure of his situation). Ideally with departures and injuries considered we should be trying to bring in a centre back, left back, centre mid, and a striker. Although if we get the rest in we don’t necessarily need another centre mid as that would allow McGill to move back in there.
Yes, down to the bare bones which is very disappointing given that we were well aware of the McInroy and Quitongo situations. I'm sure the club have been trying but nonetheless we've been caught with our pants down which could prove costly. Lets hope our big players can produce a big performance as a win today would be our best result this season.

That's my bad... I just meant longer-term than Gal's injury - he may be okay for Saturday, the other three won't be.
Will the pen be out tonight or tomorrow morning?

Certainly done nothing for Airdrie on the park,
He really had the position to himself as the only out and out left back we had, but agree no loss from a football point of view.

I don’t know, I personally can’t or won’t blame him for not wanting to play in front of a support that has (probably) racially abused him and then subsequently treated him the way he has.
A support! The accounts of the incident only ever suggested that it was 1 person.

On the face of it he seems to have wanted more done about the racism allegations. The behaviour of his agent and brother etc on social media was absolute cringe, as was the awful statement released by the club. Your probably going to want away after all and that was the best option for us as a club also. So why would you want to vilify him ?
But if he plays against us , I'm not going to be giving him grief for leaving. Just hope if he does play against us no one chucks racial abuse , but wouldn't bet on it.
My respect for him went a few weeks ago at gale force Montrose when he couldn't even look at the fans when taking the field (like every other player). He shouldn't be tarring all fans with the same brush!

Agreed , you will get the few idiots who will vilify him , but best of luck to him.
Frees up another wage.
Was he and wardrobe, wardrop? full time ? If so surely thats a good bit of cash sitting there in the budget !
I'll be one of them then, I wasn't to start with but on the face of it he seems to have shown a lack of professionalism. Unless of course he plans to tell the full story!

I was pretty sure Gabbys injury wasn’t to serious and he would be expected back in February at some point unless it’s got more serious
Yeh but injuries can be unpredictable, then add on the match fitness. Difficult situation for the club!

I see the match preview has stated that Sal, Gabby & Luke Lyons have longer term injuries which seems to suggest that their seasons are virtually over. With the added uncertainty with Mcinroy and Quitongo then this transfer window is now hugely important although I'm
expectingwishing Mcinroy will sign today!0 -

I’m not sure he ever played for them bar his debut. Not that I’d routinely check but you’d never see his name in the team sheets even as a sub. And that’s with his ex Airdrie reserve coach(es) James Grant and David Proctor on the coaching staff who presumably see something on him. No offence to the boy, and I know he’ll be on buttons, but I’ve no idea why he’s still got a contract at the club.
The club ain't good at keeping the fans updated with injuries and such like. I really just wondered what had happened to the boy as IM thought enough of him to renew his contract last season despite very few knowing much about him.

Just realised that Patrick Pyott's loan deal is up at Cumbernauld Colts where he hasn't played. Did he get injured again?

Maybe it’s a good thing we’re taking our time to sign the right lass. Mind the time Stevie Findlay signed everyone and anyone as soon as the summer transfer window opened in 2018
Dunno, I would like to see Kerr McInroy's loan extended now! The longer that goes the less likely it will look.

I thought someone would have asked this perfectly reasonable question.

Extending his loan to end of season might be a decent option for Kerr and imagine our only option at this point.
Yes I believe he could play at a higher level but his previous loan with Dunfermline wasn't a great success and he was no fans favourite.

Ryan Wallace lucky to still be on the park for trying to do Dylan Easton. Chapelhall rascal he is!

Was he fund guilty, only asking because I personally don't know,
The crown deemed there was not sufficient evidence to raise criminal proceedings but a civil case did and found him guilty.
The law of the land is too much for me to explain further.

Fair enough but it's a grass pitch in the middle of a Scottish winter, and being played on by two different teams. I'd expect it to cut up. It looks in far better condition than it was last season for me.
I suppose it's hard to gauge given that most of the league is astro but Peterhead's grass pitch is always immaculate.

Ayr diamond is rarely wrong ? Did you not see the list of all the times he was wrong ? Haha
I haven't.
It's speculation of course, Murray & Kevin Thomson seem to be the main rumours on the Ayr page.

Mmmm it's beginning to look like a new manager maybe required as Ayr Diamond is rarely wrong.(Yes I know he has only hinted at a "shock" about to occur)
On the face of it, a risky move for IM as Ayr look certain to be involved in a relegation battle and he could be out of a job in 5 months time if that happened. His stock would be a lot higher if he could get us promotion but of course you can't deny anyone a substantial wage rise.

If he did he wouldn’t have told Boyle to stay on the park after treatmentI think you give him too much credit.

Yip what you say is correct but that makes it look like he has jumped into Boyle hence the foul.
I’m not sure but can see why it was given.
in the end my opinion doesn’t count and I think the booking is for time wastingDon't disagree that he booked him for time wasting.

Now I didn’t think it should have been a foul on rsnsbottom for one minute aven from 100 yards away but gall is backing into him and the shout from airdrie was he was standing still which he wasn’t. Guess that’s the only reason ref could give it.
re Allan I thought he did foul Boyle and at the game I did shout that he should be given 2 yellows . One for the foul and one for kicking the ball away. Again this was in desperation rather than belief it was going to happen he he
Watch the Allan incident again mate. Allan was the only one attacking the ball, Paddy Boyle was waiting on it.

Airdrie vs Falkirk (15/01/2022)

I was one of the few Airdrie fans who wasn't bothered about him leaving. He clearly has limitations, average Scottish league 1 player who probably couldn't believe his luck when offered that falkirk contract.
