  1. From the little I know, he's got quite a bit going on outside football and essentially has freedom to run Talbot as he sees fit in terms of the squad etc. He's built a dynasty of sorts at Talbot and I'd be interested in bringing him in but I can't see Falkirk making the move or him being massively interested to be honest given how much control he'd have relative to the set up at Talbot. He's viewed in almost reverential terms by other managers at that level as far as I understand it so you'd reckon he'd hear about any players with talent on the way up before anyone else. Listened to a podcast with Tony McInally who used to be the Pollok manager when Sena Niang was coming through there and he said he was contacting his mates higher up the pyramid before he'd even made his first team debut saying he had everything to go far in the game. I wonder who many people like that are calling Holt to tip him off? My bet would be zero. If we are going to a hybrid model then I'm sure he could make it work but would take time that I'm not sure we could offer. Talbot have a good track record of signing boys from lower levels but then giving them a "red shirt" type year almost where they have to get up to speed with the style of play and requirements. I can't picture us giving someone time to implement that. I think our fanbase would view it as aiming too low too. IMO the best five or six players from the WoS league mixed with five or six "quality" more highly paid full timers would pish this league btw. Again, it won't happen at FFC but I'd be in favour of it.
  2. Can I still lie in a semi-comatose heap watching Strictly Celebrity on Ice and get a Chinese delivered on a Saturday? If so then I'm OK with any guidance or restrictions.

  4. Similar situation for me - I've scrounged the odd season ticket when someone wasn't using it and went to a couple of Scottish Cup ties, but aside from that haven't put a penny in since the day that the protests outside the ground made no changes. Bought my half season ticket this morning. COYB eh
  5. Enjoy taking your kids to watch a rapist on a Saturday
  6. Removing the first team coach is a "major decision"
  7. I wouldn't want an outgoing chairman making any major decisions. Tuesday is the day.
  8. The only thing I will say is that I don't go to my work through the week desperately looking forward to Saturday so I can spend my money cheering a rapist. Rather be me than you.
  9. What's the alternative? Monday is a chance to try and get some sort of fresh start. What we watched today cannot ever be repeated under any circumstances. It might not be an immediate turnaround but steps have to be taken to put a stop to this. It's embarrassing being a Falkirk fan. We have to do everything in our power to make sure this is rock bottom.
  10. I cannot describe my anger watching this today. This has to be rock bottom and cannot be continued. Thank f**k there is an opportunity to empty the worst of this on Monday.

  12. I think teams only go over when it's mutually beneficial to do so and they can reciprocate (eg ourselves and England in the qualifiers a few years ago). Can't see any team giving anything additional for a game of this magnitude when home advantage could be key. I'd have thought every team outside of North Macedonia would sell their allocation for Hampden given it'd only be about 2,500.

  14. I agree that getting more points than other teams helped us to finish above them.

  16. I stopped handing over money to the board when they made it abundantly clear that they viewed the fans with contempt around the time of Campbell/Lang and various statements they put out. Nothing to do with "the greater good of Falkirk FC", just a personal choice as a consumer not to part with my cash to people who at best want me to not have any opinion and at worst hate me.
  17. Let's see what comes next. I'll go back to home games when there are tangible steps towards fan ownership or at least involvement in running the club. At the moment it is unclear if that is the plan.
