Griffiths getting quite an easy time of it on here tonight - he was a man down when he came on. Great effort from the free kick but he barely moved the entire time he was on the park. We had zero outball. I actually thought we were in the ascendcy to start the half but Kabia going off killed any hope we had of winning. I hope his injury isn't serious because if Griffiths is being asked to give us 90 minutes on Saturday we're in bother.

I agree tbf, it's a mess unless the SoS agrees to take steps down of its own volition. The time to integrate those leagues was probably at the point of the West Juniors moving into the pyramid.

It will never happen for a number of reasons but over the next couple of years I'd look to implement: Merge the SoS into the WoS so we have one regional feeder at tier 6 in the West of the country. Champions of EoS and WoS go up automatically. Second in EoS plays second in WoS in a one legged playoff final at a neutral venue. The winner is promoted to the LL. Three relegated from LL depending on net loss/gain of teams.

He's been given budget to sign half a team, including a guy who was playing for Scotland 18 months ago. I'm not expecting to win the league but I don't want to read any bollocks about how we need to cross our fingers about Aberdeen poaching him or us being some sort of unstoppable juggernaut that will pass Queens Park by default.

We lost to the runaway leaders and QP dropped points against the bottom of the table side. We're ahead of where we'd have expected to be at 1pm today imo.

Rangers being liquidated was a once in a lifetime opportunity to end the duopoly and make impactful change in Scottish football. It was good that almost every club got to give them a kicking at least once or twice during "the journey" but the fact we're near enough back in exactly the same place with the two of them entrenched at the top of the league and with an effective veto over any administrative or structural change is depressing.

I completely get what you're saying re Goodwillie, but ultimately he didn't end up signing for us. Anything else is conjecture really. He won't be joining us in future and he really is a one off situation thankfully. Best to move on from it now and back the club IMO.

If the Colts teams get booted out the Lowland League at the end of the season as is planned then we should be looking to take 2 or 3 on loan between the two sides. He'd probably got a better move than us but someone like Lowry would be a star regardless of which league we're in next year. Leon King is really highly rated too.

I've had a look at the last few fully completed seasons and it looks like when the middle of the league is tight you need about 51-54 points to finish 4th. To hit the upper end of that we'd need to win 7 or 8 of our last 13. We have 8 games against team outside the top 4 so I don't think it's impossible, plus there's the last day away to QP.

I don't understand people talking about this signing and not discussing the rumoured wages. This isn't some sort of risk free move where he's playing for the love of the game if paper talk is to be believed. 20-30k for a guy who looks like he's been pulled out the Mill Inn at 2:45pm and given a strip could be a very costly error. The upside that people are looking for may not exist with Griffiths any more. Fair enough he scored one of those penalties in Serbia just over a year ago but he's not looked like a regular scorer for years (admittedly at a much higher level). Further to that, we looked at our best on Saturday when we were pressing QP high up the park with Kabia and Dowds leading that. I can't envisage Griffiths chasing down opposition defenders tbh. We definitely needed a striker though and I see the logic behind it. The Stainrod or Latapy comparisons are the high end of what this could be, IF he realises this is last chance saloon to sort himself out. I personally think that's fanciful but Rennie and Kenny Miller will know him much better than I do. We need a midfielder but it's a terrible market just now for a multitude of reasons (5 subs up the leagues, window shut for transfers etc). My prediction is he'll score about 6 goals, gain another stone and we'll all hate him by mid-April. There's a part of me though that believes he'll score 5 goals in 4 playoff games and we'll get promoted. I will also add that I want this to be a success of course. I have major reservations though.

This is the worst post I've seen in the decade plus I've been reading this website. If you're at some sort of wind up maybe have a think about the subject matter and who you're attacking with that post. If you're being sincere then I don't know what to say to you.
