When you put it like that your right about gen 2, i was only thinking from a pokemon standpoint, but in terms of the generations your definetly right, so in that respect im 2,1,3,4 aswell. In terms of the most stupid pokemon, god theres a few to look at, for pure utter stupid lookingness my winner is Tropus, that grass/flying type, i mean look at it: Its a bloody flying braciosaurus with banana's sticking out its throat. For me its litterally goes in order, 1,2,3,4. The first was excellent of course, and the second one totally complimented it. the third was pretty meh but had a few good ones, aron for example. Caught Raikou, i accually yelled "fuckin yass!" when the ball took, Gonna toss a coin to see wether he replaces crobat or not, i like crobat its a good pokemon, its just with the exception of speed and health its good 10-20 points behind the rest of the team currently, i think ill level it and gengar to level 36 before i decide, and judge the stat differances more fairly.

Im taking a break from the gym battles as im at my 8th badge but i wanna train and to some of the random sidequests, like the ruins of alph etc. Catching unown and the puzzles and also trying to catch the two roaming pokemon, my gengar is my secret weapon for this(Cheers Turbo), with his mean look and hypnosis. Entei is down to litterally 1hp but used roar on me, and raikou is in the red too, gotta find some better pokeballs like dusk balls and such. I think suicine is one you get available to you during the plot as it seems to like being chased. The squads doing pretty good, my 3 starters(the kanto starters) have all evolved into thier final forms, ive got my gengar and i evolved scyther into scizor then retired him in place of a same leveled espeon i had in platinum who has the pokerus virus(btw i can set up carriers and trade them to anyone). So the teams all infected and getting stronger due to it. Considering if i catch raikou to have him replace crobat or not(i realised that half my team have a electric/rock weakness and anyone packing a decent electric could cripple me) Caught 5 unown at the moment and catching the 6th as i type this. I realised the 3 tshirts the missus got me are pokemon related, 2 were obvious, but the one im wearing today i only noticed not long ago.

Well food makes them harder to catch but more likely not to flee, while mud makes them easier to catch but more prone to flee, my strategy revolves around how rare the pokemon is, the rarer it gets the less likely ill use mud. i never use food. But then again ive seen myself throw 30 balls at one pokemon.

Go with zubat, it learns fly and is much much stronger.

Im walking about trying to make eevee evolve, i think its close tho **Update** Decided to can my eevee and im gonna train a gastly instead, im so used to roms i never consider a gastly anymore since i figure "i cant trade to make it evolve into a gengar" but i can now and i was compairing the two, i had my eevee at level 15 and it was still not evolving so i figure the longer it takes to evolve the weaker an espeon id have, and even tho espeon is stronger than gengar, gengar is immune to normal, fighting and ground attacks which even in spite of it being a slightly weaker pokemon gives it a major advantage as its immune to the 3 main physical attackers, and statistically it has as strong a special attack as espeon and is as quick an attacker, espeon just has slightly better normal defence and moderately better special defence.

The missus ordered me a tshirt from america and im sure readers of this forum will appreciate it, Still training my 6 man team, they are all between level 27 and 30, Removed Metang, nidorino and pidgeotto from the team as i wasnt happy with thier preformances, werent dealing enough damage and pidgeotto with the exception of speed was 10 points in every category behind the squad even when he was breifly a few levels higher, Brought in the scyther i aquired during the bug hunt(i find a fucking scyther and the guy who won the prize found a weedle, yes a weedle) Scyther Replaced my nidorino as i wasnt happy with his poor moveset, My deliberately set up zubat replaced pideotto and he evolved into crobat 2 levels after becoming a golbat, and allready he and scyther are my joint strongest members. Eevee has replaced metang and im hoping today i can convince it to evolve into a Espeon(might consider moving it to platinum breifly to evolve it into a glaceon). I evolved a Eevee into a jolteon but im honestly not a big fan of them. Been using the pokewalker alot too, me and Gall09 walked to the town and back yesterday and i took my steelix along with me, i got 430 watts from the walk and i took my cindaquil with me to the doctors and got another 140 watts. Heading towards my third badge, Charmander evolved into charmelon and everyone else is close to evo, well except beldum. Hes like an endurance pokemon or something, you gotta endure it til it evolves at level 20 and accually starts learning moves, 20 levels of only take down. Its kinda funny being chased by a giant robot arm tho. Current Team:

Seen a couple of teenagers in the game at st enoch buying the games, is it anyone here? **Update** Took my pokewalker with me on my daily walk(i do 2km every day around my street, part of my diet) So i took my ratata with me, i found an oran berry, 2 full heals and a burn heal, caught a male nidoran(yas!) and a pidgey. Did 2095 steps and my ratata went up 1 level. Im allready loving this game, about to fight the first gym.

Accordsing to my girlfriend you import your pokemon into palpark then have to catch them again, dunno if a battle is involved tho. Dont use the world trading system, ive seen people trying to get level 100 lugia's for pachirisu's (basically legendarys for extemely common weak pokemon) Better to trade amoung people you know, you dont get ripped off that way. 9 is the best mate . You might be right with the material being there, but just a direct remake wouldnt be as good, personally id want new features and more added to the game, Keep whats important and enhance the game to create a better experiance. How many remakes or sequels thru the years have we seen that have only made us want to play the original again. Id rather a game that blows away the original in all categorys. Like you said, make storyline changes to incorporate the newer games and side stories. Maybe add a greatly enhanced chocobo breeding system, more games at the golden saucer, new moves and materia, and stuff like when you equip an accessory/ weapon you see them during battles, outside battles, during cuttscenes and so on. Maybe change clouds combat style to include the newer dual weilding he uses in FFAC. Maybe allow you to personalise thier attires, not change them or anything, but add little details insignia's and such. Update the highwind wold travel, Maybe incorporate sections of the world(not existing ones) that require a chocobo to pass or items that you need a chocobo to get to(in dungeon maps, not world map). Much like heartgold is a remake of gold with new features, updated storyline, better graphics and such. I wanna see this on any final fantasy remake.

Well heres a question for you gaz, have you seen Advent Children Complete? its an updated version of the movie and about 30 minutes longer with entire new scenes and extended battles. The biggest problem with making a remake is most of the team that worked on 7 have long since left the company, Hironobu Sakaguchi who was the creator of final fantasy and producer on 7 left the company to create mistwalker in 2004, Nobou Uematsu left the company too to become freelance, he was suposed to do the ffxiii soundtrack but he backed out, and kazaushige nojima who was one of the 2 writers of the game has also left the company and went freelance. Lets face it, if we wanted to see a remake that could do the original justice then you need the original team. Id hate to see a Remake of 7 Without Uematsu doing the music.
