  1. Much moreso I'd have said. I've never really got the need, so evident on here, for everyone to insist they can't possibly be bothered by anything anyone else says or does.
  2. Isn't the ball being gone a marker of a late challenge, ie a foul?
  3. Yes, delighted to be extracting ourselves. Today turned out to be remarkably nerveless. Falkirk had the decency to score early and by the time Annan equalised, we were 2 up. At no point did the scores look likely to conspire against us. I'm hoping Annan scrape by next week, but we'll see.
  4. A good performance today and a comfortable win. Thank Christ we're safe. An unbelievably bad season though. We need to reflect on that in trying to find any kind of meaningful way forward next time. Wholesale change is surely needed.
  5. That actually sounds incredibly difficult to be honest.
  6. Ironically enough, we've not been 'at the races' all season.
  7. Yes, it's unlikely. As you say, we'd need to be completely out of the game at Montrose during it, for a draw to make sense for both Stirling and Annan. Like you, I wouldn't feel particularly aggrieved towards either side if it came to pass though. I'd be far too angry with us for there to be any anger left to divert elsewhere.
  8. My fear is that we get something similar next week if Annan get a result today while Stirling beat Edinburgh. In such circumstances, should we lose today and fall behind next week (surely the most plausible part of the equation) a stitched up draw between Stirling and Annan next Saturday would suit both. Come on Falkirk - no nonsense today eh? You know I've always liked you.
  9. Yip, a huge game locally next Saturday, in which a win can see us finally clamber to a feeble version of safety. Fingers crossed for Falkirk.
  10. There are some seats in need of a good clean.
  11. Yes, I think you're right. That's quite comforting.
  12. I'm feeling relieved to see it finally come up as a full-time score. A late winner for us would have virtually finished Stirling off as regards 9th place. I think we're probably well placed* now given that the other pair have got each other at the end. Again though, if we lose next week, it probably goes to the last day. What an abysmal season. *When I say "well placed" I do of course mean it in the context of us being more grotesquely badly placed than we've been in decades.
  13. Yes, you've got a bit of a loathing for Annan that I've never quite understood. I'm with 19QOS19 on this. I like Annan fine as a club and I want them to stay up, as long as we do too.
  14. Ferguson will be fine with it really. He's had worse outcomes after playing Raith Rovers.
  15. The kick off time for the St Mirren game must completely blow the guy's tiny mind.
  16. I disagree with the bit in bold. Surely the better sides in League 2 have more quality than us?
  17. Yeah delusion can be fun. I prefer reality though.
  18. Yes, another stodgy nothing performance, but thank Christ, we dug out a win. Gibson takes the credit, while Bartley looks ever more flawed. I think we're almost there now, but if Stirling beat us, we're not. Annan have done tremendously well to now have such a good fighting chance.
  19. I hate to break it to you, but your attitude won't actually impact on how the team performs.
  20. Well the day has finally dawned. I can't believe the moment has actually arrived when Bartley finally gets to pit his managerial wits against the big boys from the capital. In Bartley's first full season, I think it's fair to say that he's surprised us all with the quality he's brought in, and the performances his young side is capable of delivering. Today should give us a clear indication of just how successful this season will prove to be for us. It remains to be seen whether we get our just reward for all the ability and application that our team has displayed. I, and literally dozens of others, can't wait to find out.
  21. Yes, it's a spectacularly unappetising fixture, but it really matters. If we win (and despite everything, I still think we will) then it goes a long way towards keeping us up. If we drop points at all though, I think it means we're favourites for 9th spot. I can still hardly believe that this is where we are. What a pathetic season.
  22. It really is. Many of us have tried, but it's almost impossible to capture the scale of how terrible he's been in the role. I honestly doubt if anyone, anyone at all, could have done any worse.
