  1. I'm pretty sure what you've just said was never on any campaign poster. It was something like ' vote yes to save the NHS' . Either way, utter crap given that the SNP have their hands on the purse strings and the tradional labour voters now voting SNP would desert the SNP in droves if they started selling off the NHS.
  2. In Scotland under the SNP? I don't think wee burnie would let that happen.
  3. The yes campaign said the NHS would die if we voted No, lies on both sides.
  4. Her performances at pmqs are the worst I've ever seen, opposition or government.
  5. All over the place. The bit when he asked her what her view on whether Britain should remain a member of the single market was particularly cringeworthy.
  6. Farage getting his arse handed to him by the court case wifey on Sunday politics. Pleasing.
  7. She'll do it in such a way that she'll keep kicking the can down the road. So after March comes and goes, she'll say it will be triggered after the German elections. That'll come and go and then she'll say it would be unwise to leave the EU in the run up to a uk general election or something.
  8. I agree so why isn't May allowing a vote. I think the whole charade is to stop article 50 being triggered at all.
  9. The SNP had the commonwealth games, a Tory govt imposing austerity measures left right and centre, a huge very visible campaigning machine, two of the most shrewdest politicians in Europe in charge and could only manage 45%. England voted brexit and the polls still barely moved. How that will change to polls consistently showing 60% yes(which is what will be needed for Sturgeon to feel confident enough to call the vote) before 2020 is beyond me. The best hope for Yessers is that there's an administration at holyrood that can be seen to balance the books well enough when they get more tax raising powers. Only thing is, the SNP don't want them!
  10. 2 of your friends would vote Yes now? Get that info to sturgeon now, why is she bothering listening to polls that show a lead for no, gaz's pals are the real barometer! poll data on age groups voting is pretty limited. The Ashcroft poll which said 75% of teenagers voted yes was based on speaking to 13 people, for example. Folk have embellished data with anecdotal evidence, as gaz has just done.
  11. Sturgeon will keep on saying that an independence referendum is forthcoming to keep the SNP subs rolling in. Just like an old firm chairman promising a 'transfer warchest' to boost season ticket sales. In reality it wont happen till yes has a clear lead, which is miles away from happening.
  12. Belgium is the sovereign country, it has given wallonia (and other areas of Belgium) the power to block EU trade deals. Belgium couldn't have done that if it had limited sovereignty in the first place. I presume Wallonia is taking this line to get concessions from the EU?
  13. Meant in the referendum but yes you are right
  14. In their desperation to attract labour voters, the snp said the only way to save the NHS is to vote yes. To suggest that the no side had a monopoly on negative campaigning shows you weren't paying attention.
  15. I don't know why some no voters get so worried about the prospect of a 2nd referendum. The only circumstances in which one will be held is if wee burnie can be certain she will win it. The polls are miles away from that situation.
  16. A match on a subscription channel isn't that comparable. It was the most watched programme in the U.K. at the time and a 58% audience share in Scotland is massive, only big football matches are likely to get anywhere near that. Good to see it doing so well uk wide.
  17. Conversely the World Cup was scheduled to suit European TV, with most of the matches on at 5pm Brazil time and 9-10pm in Europe. In Beijing the swimming finals took place in the morning to suit US TV, which was completely ridiculous.
  18. Would hardly be the first referendum on the eu to be completely ignored- the French voted against the eu constitution but it was forced on them anyway.Bbc reckon it might be like the deal Canada has with the EU- would mean the foaming at the mouth racists are happy that the nasty poles have been kept out.
  19. He's a rentagob with a book out. A left wing Julia Hartley brewer. He's no more an activist than Katie Hopkins is an activist for being thin. He also, incidentally , is a unionist.
  20. Owen Jones (or anyone else for that matter) shouldn't be regarded as a spokesman for a group of people whose only similarity is that they happen to love people of the same sex as them. Can dolce and gabanna, as two gay men be regarded as spokespeople for gay men everywhere despite their position against gay adoption?
  21. Owen Jones is a self publicist, the most important part of him walking out of a Sky News interview is that we're now talking about him.
  22. Peddling paranoid pish is his whole shtick.
  23. I'm almost certain the Rangers board don't believe a single word of that statement but they know that their knuckle dragging fans will lap it up and coalesce around them.
  24. Agreed, the SNP proposals should be just one element of reforms to tackle sectarianism.
