  1. Maybe not in your reality, but it is in mine. Comparing it to the views in other stadiums is irrelevant, just because other oval stadiums aren't very good for viewing either doesn't make Hampden any better. It's a terrible stadium for watching football in my opinion.
  2. It really is, in my opinion. Even if you're high up, you are a million miles from the pitch. It's a terrible stadium.
  3. Hampden is a dreadful stadium for watching football.
  4. There has been a number of enquiries over the course of this season about joining the WoSFL. It would not be good practice for these clubs to be named on here.
  5. Anyway, I'm out of this conversation for now, off the dentist.
  6. We could have had a compliant stadium, but we still couldn't have got access to Licensing if the WoSFL hadn't happened.
  7. I answered your direct question in a direct way with the truth. Sorry if it wasn't the answer you wanted.
  8. Because it couldn't happen under the terms of the LL/EoSFL/SoSFL agreement with the Scottish FA, all four parties would have had to agree, and the EoSFL would not have sanctioned another tier 6 league in their geographical area.
  9. I was not involved in anything until I was invited to do so.
  10. We already are, as we now have access to Scottish FA Licensing which we would never have had in the old West Region SJFA. Obviously we cannot compete financially with the big teams in the Premier and some of the big-spending teams currently in the First Division, but in a few years' time things may have levelled out a bit, time will tell.
  11. In the formation of the LL-WoSFL ? Yes, I was part of the initial Interim Management Group, by invitation from the LL-WoSFL's appointed chairman Dave McKenna.
  12. No, as the league wouldn't have existed with any less than 12 teams. However, they had the minimum 12 teams almost immediately after the application process was opened.
  13. You actually did, and you just have again. We did not take any "LL option", we applied to join the WoSFL, as did all of the other West Region SJFA teams. We would have joined the WoSFL if there were 12 teams or 80 teams. We genuinely didn't care how many came over, we were going regardless.
  14. It's hard to say, as you didn't tell the truth.
  15. Bizarre post, and massively inccurate. Glencairn had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the formation of the Lowland League. And we are in absolutely no danger whatsoever of relegation this season. We are twice as far away from the relegation zone (12 points) in terms of points as we are from the promotion spots (6 points), and we have multiple games in hand over the teams currently occupying the relegation spots.
  16. 1-0 to Pollok full time, a goal straight from a corner just after half time. Good crowd, thanks to all who attended on a nice night for football under the lights.
  17. In case you're looking for something to do tonight.
  18. Our poor run continues, and it's just as well we did so much good work and put so many points on the board early in the season, otherwise we'd have been nervously looking over our shoulders. As it stands, we're twice as far away from the drop zone as we are to promotion (in terms of points), so I don't think we've much to worry about there. We need to halt this slide quickly though. Away to Johnstone Burgh next week, a team who desperately need wins as well given their incredible levels of investment in the team and the expectations that brings. We can't possibly even start to think of competing with them financially, but it's 11 v 11 on the day, so we'll see what happens. First up is our friendly v Pollok on Monday night.
  19. Rutherglen Glencairn v Pollok Monday 4th March 2024 Hamish B. Allan Stadium 7.30pm kick off £4 adults, £2 concessions, free entry for Under 16s.
  20. Extremely unlikely in my opinion, but only 3 go down anyway.
  21. The same applies to the Second, Third and Fourth Divisions as well. It is already confirmed that no team will be relegated into the WoSFL from the Lowland League this summer.
