  1. The WoSFL is based at Broadwood. That's where the league's offices are, that's where the General Meetings of the clubs are, and the stadium has a mutual agreement with the WoSFL to host the WoSFL Cup Final and the Strathclyde Cup Final there. This has no connection to the SJFA's deal for the Scottish Junior Cup Final, that is a separate arrangement altogether.
  2. Hurlford was also postponed on Saturday, five minutes along the road from Darvel.
  3. Well it took you at least five invitations to do so.
  4. McGinty dived three times against us as well, one of them was particularly laughable. He's a good player, but he needs to cut out that nonsense.
  5. Ok, so finally you've been brave enough to respond, well done. I assume you are aware that the pyramid existed before the WoSFL did, and the Lowland League had an agreement with the EoSFL and the SoSFL prior to the WoSFL asking to be part of that. For that agreement to change, it required the agreement of all three existing parties, and the Scottish FA. Part of that agreement was that only champion clubs who are licensed can be promoted to the LL. The WoSFL had to agree to those terms, otherwise the Scottish FA would not have sanctioned the WoSFL's entry to the pyramid. It's as simple as that. It may change in the future if all five parties agree to change it, but I don't see that happening any time soon. I hope that gives you some clarity.
  6. You'd need to ask the Scottish FA to answer that one.
  7. Ok, @PossilYM, I'll endulge (for probably the 5th time now). I've asked you this question at least four times already, and on each occasion you have disappeared, not answered the question, waited a few weeks and then come back and trotted out the same line again. Then, when asked the same question, the same cycle repeats. So, for the sake of your credibility, please answer this question :- Why would it be embarrassing for the WoSFL Board if a non-licensed team wins the league again this season, given that the Scottish FA suspended new licensing applications last year and won't lift the suspension until after this summer's AGM ?
  8. I'm beginning to think our penalty shoot-out win in last season's Scottish Junior Cup semi final was our last ever. That's the three cup competitions we've gone out on penalties this season. We've actually only lost one cup tie over 90 minutes this season, and that was in The Scottish Cup. Good luck to Craigmark Burntonians in the quarter finals, if your goalkeeper continues to perform like he did today then you've a good chance of going further. For us it's ten league games left to see where it takes us. It's going to be a big ask to finish in the top three, but it's still possible. I reckon 7 wins would see us in serious contention, but anything less will give us no chance. At least we're not looking over our shoulders at the drop zone.
  9. So it's a new rule for this season, that's fair enough. You said it was "usually" demanded by the organisers, as if it was something that had been in place for a while.
  10. Last season's semi final (one-off match at a neutral venue) wasn't all ticket. Glencairn didn't sell any tickets for the match, all of our supporters paid at the gate. When we got to the semi final in 2013 v Auchinleck Talbot it was 2 legs then as well, but again it was pay at the gate for both legs.
  11. The Scottish FA's appeal committee agree with you, Mateusz's red card has been reduced to a yellow. Unfortunately the match can't be replayed, but that's football.
  12. There is the potential for an additional promotion or relegation place in each league, depending on whether or not a team is relegated into the WoSFL from the Lowland League (highly unlikely this season) and whether or not the WoSFL champions are promoted to the Lowland League.
  13. Another blow for our promotion aspirations today, and the writing was on the wall after 5 minutes when our goalkeeper Mateusz Miller was red carded. We had to bring on 18-year-old Chris White who only officially joined us on loan yesterday and has had only one training session with the squad. It was no surprise that the first goal conceded came because of a breakdown in communication between our defender and the goalkeeper. Some results elsewhere went in our favour, but with a third of the season to play we need to start scoring goals again. That's three games in a row without scoring and, to be honest, we've not been scoring enough all season in my opinion. Cup tie next week, a wee break from league action.
  14. Most of the EoSFL (the Premier Division at least) are in The Scottish Cup.
  15. We have signed goalkeeper Chris White on loan from Stirling Albion until the end of the season.
  16. Points on the board are always better than games in hand, in my opinion.
  17. Rutherglen Glencairn goalkeeper Scott Law has been made available for transfer. Scott made 43 appearances for the club, including the Scottish Junior Cup Final last season. Any interested clubs should contact Willie Harvey (General Manager) or Peter Ferguson (Club Secretary).
  18. Personally I hate the 2-leg semis concept, it takes away from the knockout concept of a cup tie. Our neutral venue semi last season v East Craigie with our late equaliser and win on penalties was great drama.
  19. Every team plays the same number of home games of the course of a season, to be fair.
  20. A minimum of three teams will be relegated from the WoSFL First Division, with the potential for four or five teams going down (highly unlikely) depending on relegation from the Lowland League to the WoSFL Premier Division which then cascades down the leagues. However, you are in the incorrect section of Pie & Bovril for Neilston's league, they are not a junior club anymore. The WoSFL section of P&B is on this link :- https://forum.pieandbovril.com/forum/137-west-of-scotland-football-league/
