  1. I know, but what I'm saying is the test will come when a B team finishes top of the Lowland League and the LL then nominates a team for the play-off who haven't finished top of their league. Will the SPFL accept it ? Time will tell.
  2. To be fair it was clear from the outset point of the formation of the WoSFL that a Scottish FA Licence would be required for promotion to the Lowland League. That has always been set in stone.
  3. That has still to be tested as a B team hasn't won the Lowland League yet, so we don't know how the Scottish FA will react if a non-champion club were to be put forward for the Upper Pyramid Play-Off.
  4. I was down south visiting family today so wasn't at Brig O' Lea, but the updates coming to my phone were most enjoyable. A 3-0 win away from home against any team, regardless of their league position, is a good solid result. That's 13 points out of 15 for us now, and 10 out of 12 of those away from home. Add to that the fact that all of the other promotion contenders dropped points today, and suddenly we find ourselves in 3rd place, with 4 games left to play, all of them at home. We're going to need to win them all to still have a chance, but we have real momentum at the right time.
  5. We are delighted to announce that central defender Anthony Maguire has signed a 2-year contract extension and committed to the club until the summer of 2026. Ants was promoted from our Under 21s to the first team squad last season and is now a regular cornerstone of our defence.
  6. The WoSFL is based at Broadwood, but we're talking about the Scottish Junior Cup Final here which is nothing to do with the WoSFL.
  7. If the WoSFL became the West Region SJFA again and all parties to the Lower Pyramid Play-Off were happy with that, then I suppose you'd be right in that scenario. But that's all hypothetical, and we're a million miles away from that scenario actually happening.
  8. I think that is what the SJFA actually did, however the pyramid league clubs who are not SJFA members don't really seem interested in that idea.
  9. A club cannot gain or retain its Scottish FA Licence if it is not playing in a pyramid league. Licensed clubs sign a declaration of commitment to the pyramid.
  10. Lol, he couldn't. Here comes another........
  11. I see Possil YM has had a wee red dot spree on all of my posts today. Clearly he doesn't like me giving facts to try and help people be informed. Hey ho, I hope he feels better for it. (Let's see if he can restrain himself from red-dotting this one, lol. )
  12. I did answer the question. The clubs elect the Board. The current Board don't have the power to block Board members being elected when there is a vacancy, or new Board members being proposed at the AGM.
  13. The clubs elect the Board. If there is a vacancy on the Board, and a Board member is proposed, seconded and unopposed by anyone, then he is elected.
  14. All that is confirmed so far is that Alex McDowall was voted onto the WoSFL Board by the clubs at the General Meeting in January, proposed by Gartcairn and seconded by Troon. There was a vacancy on the Board and nobody else was in the frame, so it was a formality that he was elected. Alex then announced on his own personal Facebook page last weekend that he had been nominated by Auchinleck Talbot for election as WoSFL Chair at the upcoming end-of-season AGM, and seconded by Arthurlie.
  15. I am not aware of any such proposal on the table.
  16. Yep, I spotted interested neutrals from Glencairn, Gartcairn, Troon, Neilston, East Kilbride FC, and a few other currently unattached managers/coaches. Despite what Possil YM said, the crowd was very decent for a very cold and wet night, Burgh had a good support there.
  17. Yep, Owen McGinty always catches the eye when I watch Cambuslang, he scored a good goal last night and almost scored from the halfway line in the second half. He needs to cut out the diving though, he does a couple every time I watch him as well, he's better than that nonsense.
  18. Absolute nonsense, but not surprising from you.
  19. Johnstone Burgh 6 Cambuslang Rangers 1 Lang keeper kept the score from being double figures, to be honest. Lots of interested neutrals on a very cold and wet night.
  20. Don't forget the Sevco reference.
