  1. You actually did, and you just have again. We did not take any "LL option", we applied to join the WoSFL, as did all of the other West Region SJFA teams. We would have joined the WoSFL if there were 12 teams or 80 teams. We genuinely didn't care how many came over, we were going regardless.
  2. It's hard to say, as you didn't tell the truth.
  3. Bizarre post, and massively inccurate. Glencairn had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the formation of the Lowland League. And we are in absolutely no danger whatsoever of relegation this season. We are twice as far away from the relegation zone (12 points) in terms of points as we are from the promotion spots (6 points), and we have multiple games in hand over the teams currently occupying the relegation spots.
  4. 1-0 to Pollok full time, a goal straight from a corner just after half time. Good crowd, thanks to all who attended on a nice night for football under the lights.
  5. In case you're looking for something to do tonight.
  6. Our poor run continues, and it's just as well we did so much good work and put so many points on the board early in the season, otherwise we'd have been nervously looking over our shoulders. As it stands, we're twice as far away from the drop zone as we are to promotion (in terms of points), so I don't think we've much to worry about there. We need to halt this slide quickly though. Away to Johnstone Burgh next week, a team who desperately need wins as well given their incredible levels of investment in the team and the expectations that brings. We can't possibly even start to think of competing with them financially, but it's 11 v 11 on the day, so we'll see what happens. First up is our friendly v Pollok on Monday night.
  7. Rutherglen Glencairn v Pollok Monday 4th March 2024 Hamish B. Allan Stadium 7.30pm kick off £4 adults, £2 concessions, free entry for Under 16s.
  8. Extremely unlikely in my opinion, but only 3 go down anyway.
  9. The same applies to the Second, Third and Fourth Divisions as well. It is already confirmed that no team will be relegated into the WoSFL from the Lowland League this summer.
  10. You see, this is why the vast majority of the WoSFL Board avoid this forum. I, on the other hand, try occasionally to be informative, and correct mis-information where I see it being posted. Most times, though, that leads to a debate and somebody challenging me to justify this or that or the next thing. The WoSFL Board is elected by the clubs, with representatives proposed and seconded by the 80 member clubs. That is really who the Board answer to, I have no need to justify decisions on here, although as I said on occasion I try to do so to be helpful. Usually it leads to some sort of negativity, but hey, I expect that. As for Broadwood, as far as I am aware, not one single club has raised an issue with the league about the offices being located there, nor have the clubs complained about the finals being there. The clubs have the power to change things, so if you're not happy then lobby your clubs to raise a proposal to change things.
  11. The facilities at Broadwood are top notch, to be honest, the only drawback is the location and the transport links. If there was a facility in central Glasgow that was as welcoming and accomodating as Broadwood has been, then that would be ideal. Unfortunately there isn't.
  12. Yes, the league's offices are now based at Broadwood, and all the General Meetings of the clubs are also hosted there.
  13. The junior cup final has nothing to do with the WoSFL, it is a separate matter altogether.
  14. Half an hour is "complete silence" ? Compare that to the multiple weeks of convenient silence from you when given a direct question that you find a bit awkward, lol.
  15. It's hardly "convenient" for the office bearers. None of them live anywhere Cumbernauld. Unfortunately we have a wide geographic base in our league, so finding a base that suits everyone would be impossible. The facilities at Broadwood are excellent, and they have been welcoming and accomodating. The stadium's location is unfortunate.
  16. The WoSFL is based at Broadwood. That's where the league's offices are, that's where the General Meetings of the clubs are, and the stadium has a mutual agreement with the WoSFL to host the WoSFL Cup Final and the Strathclyde Cup Final there. This has no connection to the SJFA's deal for the Scottish Junior Cup Final, that is a separate arrangement altogether.
  17. Hurlford was also postponed on Saturday, five minutes along the road from Darvel.
  18. Well it took you at least five invitations to do so.
  19. McGinty dived three times against us as well, one of them was particularly laughable. He's a good player, but he needs to cut out that nonsense.
