  1. I said on here a log time ago, that I would engage with this forum and try to give truthful answers to questions and to try and correct any misconceptions or mistaken information. I also said I would do so as long as things remained respectful and relevant. Now that the personal abuse has come in, I think it's time to take a step back and leave you all to it. Thanks though go to those of you that kept it civilised, I appreciated your input, favourable or otherwise. See you at a game somewhere, I'll be happy to chat. Bye for now.
  2. Where do you get the idea that I think it's okay?
  3. Yes. I did say May. Sorry about that, I was getting mixed up with the South Challenge Final which is 28th May
  4. At the time of placing the fixtures they were. Pollok was still in with a chance of the title. Maybe some had them written them off, I hadn't.
  5. Did you miss the bit where I said there was a Cup Final on 28th April? If I'd put Clydebank v Pollok down for 29th April and Clydebank got to the Final, that game would be postponed. Where do you reckon it would go then? I'm quite sure there would be plenty on here giving me advice that it should have been played earlier.
  6. Could it? I think Clydebank might disagree with that as they have 4 games to play in that period and that's not counting in the possibility of a Cup Final on 28th May
  7. There WILL be. Lessons have been learned and as I said they agreed at the recent General Meeting to accept that there needs to be midweek games at the start.
  8. It's still a league governed by democratic decisions of the members.
  9. Despite my warnings and misgivings, the clubs didn't want midweek games at the start of the season. It was discussed again with the clubs at a recent General Meeting. They will come back into use at the start of next season.

  12. Well, I must give a toss because I keep trying to find the answer to a simple question. So, it must be because I'm brainless. So help this simpleton and let him know how you come to the conclusion that if a team without a licence wins the Premier Division, it would result in the WoSFL being laughed out of the Pyramid? Please keep it nice and simple. That is unless of course, that you don't really know why you said it in the first place.
  13. Because I could answer a direct question.
  14. Please excuse my ignorance then. But could you explain it for the hard of thinking? Why would the WoSFL be laughed out the Pyramid?
  15. Sorry, perhaps I should have said 'geographic' origins.
  16. The WoSFL was set up by the LL. Bonnyton applied for inclusion based on the fact they were from Kilmarnock. They were also deemed as a Tier 6 Club due to them being in a Tier 6 League (SoSFL). No other Tier 6 club asked to join the LL run WoSFL at that time. After the WoSFL was handed over, and prompted by rumours that some West Lothian clubs other than Harthill Royal, had also contemplated joining the WoSFL, it was decided to set up geographical boundaries for any new applicants to stop teams floating between them. The WoSFL & EoSFL both agreed on theirs. The SoSFL did not want any boundaries between them and either the East or the West. Hence why Threave could apply to join the WoSFL and Glasgow Wellington could apply to join the SoSFL. Relegation from the LL was not part of those discussions and relegated teams would have to return to their origins. If Dalbeattie were to be relegated they would only be allowed entry to the WoSFL by application to join at the lowest level and would need to go through the same process as any other applicant. Just like Threave.
  17. I wish it was that easy. What happens to Largs v Darvel on the 1st April?
  18. I'm only able to do it if I'm at home. It is something we're hoping to rollout to all clubs though. It will need someone from each club to be interested in doing the live score at their game.
