  3. Talbot did have midweek games. Unfortunately they got postponed.
  4. It was a 1 season deal to bridge the gap till the current sponsor took it on.
  5. Small matter of another cup this Saturday which will have an impact on fixtures for 1st April. Once the results are known on Saturday. More fixtures will be released.

  7. Got it the first time. Yet here we all are, all together in the WoSFL. Time to move on.
  8. The problem with making the Premier Division for Licenced clubs only, was replacement of clubs that will eventually move up to the LL. Even if things don't change in regards to the play-off situation, it is still possible that we could lose 1 team per season upwards, if that was to happen over 5 years, where are the teams that could replace them if a restriction was in place? Plus if there was a time limit put on existing teams to get a licence, what happens to those teams when they cannot get a licence? Relegate them? Even if we don't have a replacement for them.
  9. With Talbot playing at Home in the West Cup last Saturday and at Home in the South Cup this Saturday, as were a few others, I thought it best not to give any of them midweek games in the week prior to these Cups. Basically because of pitch protection to make sure these ties went ahead. The same principle was then applied to all teams that had a Cup Tie to keep it fair that no team would be playing in the week before a Cup game.
  10. They're on a list of postponed fixtures. Until such times as I'm able to re-schedule them back onto the Fixture List and try to do so without causing any further postponements due to cup games. This weekend there are games in the West of Scotland Cup, when the result of these are known along with the draw for the next round, I will be looking at re-scheduling some of these postponements into the blank Saturdays set aside for the next rounds of the West of Scotland Cup.
  11. Quote - "a big boy has stole them and run away" And I'm playing childish games.
  12. I wonder if the 'big boy' could come back and steal the chip off your shoulder.
  13. Removed? Nope! Been there since published and still are.
  14. I phoned him, as you suggested and he told me his secret to success.
  15. Crap teams? Those crap teams took out some quite impressive teams on their way to the latter stages. 3 out of the 4 'crap teams' are past winners of the Junior Cup. 2 of the 'crap teams' play in the WoSFL Premier Division. 1 of the 'crap teams' is sitting in 6th place in the Midlands League.
  16. Just for clarity, I did say - Possibly. "Possibly another 4 or 5 Saturdays, possibly another 4 or 5 Wednesdays."
  17. so why were there no midweek at the start of the season because the clubs asked for a start without them. They had them in the season prior to this one and complained about them. That situation has been remedied though. The clubs asked for their inclusion at the start of next season at the recent General meeting. now you want us to play in to June Merely trying to emphasise the fact that our season is shortened due to the need to declare a champion club to participate in the play-offs. No league games after 13th May is ridiculous. In my opinion. Why can't the junior cup final be played on grass Again, it's all about the Junior Cup with you. Why isn't the South Challenge Cup played on grass?
  18. If anyone really want's to vent their anger and upset about their fixtures, perhaps it would be better to pick a more legitimate target. The one that really has an effect on the fixtures is the Lowland League Play-offs. Because there's no automatic promotion for our Premier Division Champion, the season NEEDS to finish on the 13th May. Just think what we could do if we didn't have that deadline. Possibly another 4 or 5 Saturdays, possibly another 4 or 5 Wednesdays. Just think an extra 4 or 5 weeks of decent weather. Watching games in shorts and tee-shirts under the sun instead of big jumpers, coats and under umbrellas. More importantly, no more need for midweek games throughout the winter months, saving fortunes by using natural sunlight instead of floodlights. Getting rid of the Play-offs, benefits everyone. getting rid of a cup doesn't.
  19. I know that your comment was tongue in cheek, I just wanted to use it to get a point across.
