  1. Partick had 38 points, Hibs had 35 and Hearts finished with 23.
  2. According to the official site Ross Perry has joined Rovers and will play today. ETA team news: Cuthbert Thomson Perry Watson McKeown Fox Scott Conroy Nade Stewart Vaughan Subs: Anderson Elliot Laidlaw Bates Matthews Callachan Ellis Robertson McGurn
  3. Disappointed that Rovers could come only eighth in the Disciplinary League last season. I was hoping for bottom spot.
  4. Gasps in despair. Maybe it's too early in the morning. Renton asked when the list of crocks is going to shorten. Ratman jokingly replied that they're going to saw off Dougie's shins and join his knees to his ankles and that will shorten the injury list. Micmac didn't get the joke and thought that it would be January at the earliest before Dougie could make a return. I remarked that Dougie would make a remarkable recovery from ground breaking surgery and would be playing tomorrow. Is that clear?
  5. News from Stark's Park is that Dougie Hill has made a remarkable recovery from his shin removal operation and will be fit to play tomorrow.
  6. Just to complicate things, the semi-finals of the Petrofac Training Cup are on Sunday 12th October so Friday night's fixture could be cancelled if either team is still involved and you could be blitzed on Saturday and Sunday instead.
  7. At the request of both clubs. Scotland have a home match against Georgia on Saturday with a 5.00pm kick off.
  8. The home match against Queen of the South has been moved forward a day to Friday 10th October with a 7.45pm kick off.
  9. Friendly or not, the worrying thing for me was Rovers' complete inability to move off the ball. With the exception of Lewis Vaughan I can't think of one Rovers' player who showed any willingness to pass and move. It looks like Murray has built another lazy team. Contrast that with York City's fast moving play, their use of diagonal balls into the box, their desire to keep the ball on the deck and the speed with which they closed our players down. We just don't do these things but they are the very things we should be doing - it's what makes you competitive. Second by a long way last night.
  10. Another bonus is that Scott, who up until now was going to be wide left, will now start in the middle.
