  1. Edinburgh City v Rovers match preview in the Courier.
  2. To be honest this season is going to be so cut throat that strength in depth is not going to be an optional extra.
  3. Go find the quote from the board from previous seasons that says we're going for strength in depth. It's something they probably regret saying, given how fans have reacted. Anyhow, here's today's readable version of the FFP.
  4. Remember this from May 8th? One of the main lessons learned was that although the quality of players on the books this season was very good, we perhaps did not have enough ‘strength in depth’ to cope with injuries to key players and suspensions or to enable the management to tactically change the team around in order to counter the strengths of, and attack the weaknesses of, different opponents. There is also a recognition that unnecessary bookings need to be avoided going forward but that, nevertheless, we need to bring in players capable of combatting other teams’ attacking capabilities. The following is from a recent copy of the FFP after the signings of McKeown and Stewart: With other new signings Craig Barr, Martin Scott, Christian Nade also on board, Murray is pleased with his transfer dealings thus far - but insists he’s not finished yet. “We’re reasonable in terms of squad strength at the moment but I’d still like to add another one or two players,” he said. So, on May 8th we needed strength in depth. Last week we still needed strength in depth but not as much, maybe one or two players. Today we don't need strength in depth but if we have problems with injuries or suspensions or both we'll leave something in the pot to do something about it. Sounds like last season all over again to me
  5. According to this week's Fife Free Press we are in no hurry to make further signings. Also, it was Archie Campbell who asked to train with us. Hard to read version.
  6. We already have 18 if you include Ellis and the 3 goalies - Cuthbert, Scott, Barr, McKeown, Stewart, Nade, McGurn, Thomson, Watson, Hill, Fox, Moon, Elliot, Anderson, Callachan, Vaughan, Ellis and Laidlaw. We'll sign 2 more at most and if one of them was Conroy that would be fine.
  7. I think he was holding out for another offer elsewhere.
  8. Barr is a sub? And you can forget the 4/5 signings. What have you been on tonight?
  9. According to that Telegraph report he's out of contract.
  10. Hemmings was another one deemed not good enough.
  11. I hope our offer wasn't still on the table and that's why he signed for Alloa. It will be interesting now to see if we want another striker and what happens with Anderson.
  12. Search Rory McKeown on Twitter. It comes up on two different sources. Seems legit.
  13. Rovers have agreed a deal to sign Kilmarnock defender Rory McKeown on a free transfer.
