Would agree with @callum-ayr team. I don’t think McGinty is nearly as bad as some fans make him out to be however i feel a lot more comfortable with Kirk and Musonda. Hopefully Kirk is fully fit.

Ashford and McKenzie’s work rate are both excellent but neither are clinical enough. I’ve liked the look of Young so far. Thought Chalmers was decent when he came on vs ICT on Saturday and with a full weeks training he can surely only have improved.

A win would be massive for us here and would go someway to proving our early league form wasn’t just a purple patch.  I Had a bit of the fear about it however QP had a really poor result against a dreadful Morton team last night.

It's a strange Ayr team in that for the first time in a good few years there isn't anybody in it that I don't like, and yet I'm still not particularly confident going into any games 🤣.  The 3 highlighted are probably the easiest to criticise and definitely the 3 I'd replace in the starting XI for Saturday, yet I like them all.

We really need to win this one.  5 weeks since Dipo scored or we won a game, obviously suffered from blank weeks outwith our control but definitely feels like we need to get back on track.

Well after last night's results going our way and losing a couple on the bounce, it's a chance for us to reclaim second (also dependent on Friday night).  Think we might see a few changes for this one, we really need to see some others chipping in with some goals:

    Albinson

    Houston Kirk Musonda Reading

    Mullin Murdoch Dempsey Chalmers

    Akinyemi Young

Subs: McAdams, McAllister, McGinty, Bangala, JML, Smith, O'Connor, Ashford, McKenzie

Hoping for a big reaction and a return to our best defence.  Going for an optimistic 3-1 win, Akinyemi, Young and Mullin.

You might be right team wise - Bullen specifically mentioned the defending and also the 2 big chances missed in his post match interview from Saturday so those changes would make sense!

Decided to take the positive spin - QP proving they are beatable after being on a great run.- huge game this weekend.  The fact we have won 3 home games in 2022 still worries me - having been at the game at Ochilview I definitely fancy us to create plenty chances again, but feel we will almost certainly concede. Just need to hope the chances fall to the right people - worrying that after 13 games it's only Dipo and Andy Murdoch with more than 1 goal.

Thinking of this and looking at the kick off debate - 2 of the home wins (Partick and Dundee) have been Friday nights - and the one before that was a Sunday v Raith as it was Boxlng Day.  So I think since we beat QoS at home on 16th October 2021, we have only won one home Saturday 3pm league game in a year since then - which was Lee Bullens first game in charge on 8th January v Arbroath.

Beginning to think we should just play every game either on a Friday night or away from home 🤣

Or just make it a Saturday lunchtime to put us out our misery earlier.

Looking at the latest scores this evening - I still don't know if I'm happy to see Queen's Park and Dundee are getting best or worried that Cove and Morton are winning 😬

This was essentially what happend at Hearts game last night. There was a minutes silence at the start of the second half. There was the odd shout of f**k the queen and the likes which were then shouted down by other fans, some people then started singing God save the queen and others started to boo that. No one came out looking great in that episode.

Thing is, if (and that's a massive if) we are allowed to play next week at Raith a day or 2 before the funeral there will still be a minute silence - they aren't going to let the first football games go ahead without one.  So you are just pushing the potential issue back a week or 3.

The only sport showing common sense Ice Hockey going ahead with due respects being made before the first games, sounds like they may get record attendances as there is absolutely nothing on elsewhere madness

Think it seems to be:  golf, rugby (England only), horse racing, cricket, ice hockey - show respect by playing as normal with silence / armbands or whatever.   Football - show respect by cancelling.    Its absolutely pathetic

  7. They've shat it from the Rangers badge / Union Jack / Queen as profile pic Twitter which would have jumped on the outrage bandwagon, no doubt helped along by a few select newspapers.   As folk have said, as soon as there was no English football on we were never ever going to play, no matter what other Sports (rugby, golf, cricket, horse racing) are fine to go ahead at various points over the weekend

Think it will be O’Connor for Mullen based on his favoured position

100% has to be same starting XI if fit surely.

    Aye I'd imagine it's now O'Connor/Mullin and Ashford/JML ?

Excellent window.  Feeling very positive. My only real worry just now is centre midfield, and that's simply based on Ben Dempsey's career seeming to have always been interrupted by injures, just like his loan spell last year.

Bring on Saturday.  Would be very disappointed if we don't take a really good crowd through.  Mon Ayr
