31st of January....means some of our players can sign their deals with Thistle for next season while they are there, saves a journey haha -

He signed a 2 year deal in April / May according to our official site so right away that article is wrong -

Has there been any word on the Dunfermling game next week being on or not? -

Was thinking the same. Will be interesting to see how many Partick fans will buy in advance for the next game at Somerset in March now that you'd imagine the majority of those likely to travel will definitely be aware of the process -

Ah good. I was getting bored of the ticket system chat - now we get to discuss politics. That always goes well. -
Ayr United vs Partick Thistle
Hursty replied to jagfox's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Two good wins in 5 days including an absolute pumping of Ian McCalls new bigger better club. Yet the main chat on here and the most discussed topic on the Somerset Road End is about how disgraceful our new modern ticket system is. Jesus wept. At least if we lose next week folk can get back on the "Kerr out" bandwagon. -

Same as everyone seems to be finding Alloa and Arbroath really hard work other than us -

I see where you are coming from but only time will tell with Kerr. I honestly dont think any of the other managers in the frame would have done any better last night or even in the next few weeks (which now without Geggan could be brutal). Imagine Kerr had lost 3-1 at home to Arbroath today BTW. How would that have gone down? -
Powder puff is harsh in hindsight. We look just as likely to concede as anyone else. First game I've watched on TV in a long time and thought we looked Ok - we are definitely dirtier than it may look at the game. I'm happy with that. Let's just get to January
-
It's outrageous isn't it. Yogi or Canning or Jimmy Mac in their one day of training would have taught Moff to finish one on ones and McCowan to use his right foot when needed. Kerr Out. FUCKING BOOOOOOO

The Stranraer game in the Betfred Cup I'd say
-
Moff looks like he will definitely get clean through again. He has however scored 2 league goals at Somerset since we beat Raith 3-0 in Ferbruary 2018 so whether he scores it or not is another story. .

Ayr United’s Next Permanent Manager
Hursty replied to D'Jaffo's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Aye. It can take me 45 mins to get over the Kingston Bridge and clear of the traffic at Drumbreck on the M77 on a Friday around half 5 never mind do a full Dundee to Ayr in 2 hours -
Ayr United’s Next Permanent Manager

Doolan out to Partick, Lee Miller in once the window opens? Still agree I'd like to see some experience in as well though. I'm quite excited by this appointment in the longer term but worry a wee bit about the period from now until January. Really hope we can get a couple (or at least one) positive result between Friday and Tuesday -
Ayr United’s Next Permanent Manager

I've been told the manager will be Jim McIntyre and that Martin Canning pulled out the running on his own accord. 2nd source a lot more reliable than the first. Cue Canning being appointed haha -

Based on the names mentioned i'd be happy enough with McIntyre. He has been reasonably successful in the past and seems massively tainted by his most recent gig. My pal at work is a Pars season ticket holder and says he would definitely have him back (although others certainly wouldn't) and says they were a good attacking side when he was in charge. Not too dissimilar to McCall perhaps? Folk need to realise we are going to get someone who has failed somewhere before, unless we appoint someone like Mark Kerr and hope for the best. Saying that -Canning would concern me as he has done nothing other than scrape survival at Accies, although maybe he just needs the chance. Who knows... -
Alloa Athletic v Dundee United

Ditto. If you are indeed from Dundee then of course I take it back. . Point still stands to the lad from Arbroath though.... -

I got a like on twitter from the lads for hopefully getting a reference off the pinboard in the background. Wonderful show. Hadn't realised how young Gary Kenneth was when he played for Scotland either. -

I'm an Ayr fan from Ayr so i'm delighted to say "get it right up ye" on behalf of your home town club. Same goes to the Dundee Utd fan in the pub in Arbroath last week gloating that 'they' had pumped Morton 6-0 and trying to get into a "we will win the league" bit of patter. -

I'm calling it. We will beat Inverness tomorrow as the front 4 of Moff Forrest McCowan and Kelly will pull their defence apart more than the 4-4-2 with a winger and a centre mid out wide ever could last season. Those lads will score against anyone. (Hopefully Roscoe can win headers ahainst White of course) -
Anyway. Canny wait for tomorrow. And I fancy Stephen Kelly FGS at 14/1. He did the business for me in the QoS game so im going in again.

5 of the 11 so not that big a change over a season and a bit. Plus McCowan was an occasional unused sub in the league that season too.
