  1. I suppose it depends on how many baldies turn up. I'll wear a hat just in case!
  2. I'd imagine Queen's will go up without too much trouble. Do they play differently at home? Because that was awful to watch.
  3. Well, Ray McKinnon has them well coached. Going to win the rest of theirgames 1-0... Ridiculous second yellow. Great recovery by the QP player I thought his leg had fallen off....
  4. Automatic ball-following camera as used by most clubs. Been like this all season. Not great, but better than nothing.
  5. Just have to hope he doesn't lose interest then.
  6. Hmmm. Why was it they didn't make it? Oh yes - I remember - unsustainable wage bill and they went bust. I hope Queen's are being careful. Even when fans get back into grounds they'd need to get several thousand in to pay wages surely. The Hampden money won't last all that long.
  7. That's quite a risk. If you don't get promotion it isn't sustainable.
  8. No fans. ex Motherwell, ex Falkirk, ex Morton.. what kind of wage bill is that?
  9. I think last week in Edinburgh was a pure lottery - horrific conditions. Tough game today - that is quite some experience in the QP squad. And full-time. That must cost a packet! Perfect day for football today... what I'd give to be there.
  10. Indeed. I was looking forward to, and three months ago was still hopeful of, any awayday to Stranraer... TV will need to do for now. Thought we looked pretty solid against Montrose through the week. Away win.
  11. Good solid performance by City. Top of the group.
  12. Please do NOT lump us all in together. Colts can get in the fu**ing sea!
  13. Not entirely sure how you can draw that conclusion. You would need to have some clue as to outgoings, and the state of the club's finances before lock-down started to even begin to be able to hypothesise at any club's survival. I think Graham Tatters was being incredibly honest when he said the club would be "finished in three months" if furlough was ended. I'd suspect many clubs in Scotland are in the same boat.
  14. Well done Gav, and all the team behind this. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52514915
  15. Elgin chairman Graham Tatters was on Sportsound yesterday. Not cheery listening I'm afraid, but I'd think most clubs are in the same boat. Elgin are a well run club who live within their means.. hard times ahead for all. I'd imagine top league teams might get to play behind closed doors with TV coverage in the not too distant future - well, this year! But that won't happen in the Championship, or L1 and 2. With no income stream, wages to pay for however many players still on the books... even cold wet days in Coatbridge bring misty-eyed reminiscences! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52427942
  16. I can definitely see this happening here. Only really equitable way to sort it out. We won't be in a position to start games again for many weeks (months), it's impossible to say "the league is finished as it now stands" as the lawsuits from those adversely affected would go on forever. We might not like it but, "season 19/20 void" is the most sensible outcome.
  17. Blimey! When did Cowden become the angriest team in the world?
  18. Oops! Just digging out my Bryan Ferry tickets for Tuesday from my ticket drawer(!) and I discover forgotten about Big Thief tickets for tomorrow.. Airbnb booking suitably adjusted! Plan to escape work early currently being hatched.
  19. Dreadful weather, dreadful game, and to be honest, two dreadful teams.
  20. I'll be there too. Last time I saw her was in Mono... might be a tad different. Can't wait.
  21. Taking defeat well again. It was the weather, the pitch.... http://www.coverangersfc.com/our-team/match-reports/cove-blown-away-as-elgin-take-advantage-of-poor-weather-and-pitch-condition-1/
  22. Cove shown up to be a team of individuals. When things don't go their way they become petulant and heads down. Pleasing. MacAllister lucky to stay on the pitch in my book. He got booked for moaning that he hadn't been given a foul, and then applauded the ref for doing so. Fyvie lucky too. Should've been booked I the first half. Elgin were very good all round. When we face up to a team we are as good as any in the league.
