  1. Can only think they are concerned about Tongue's fitness given how much time he missed with injuries. He got Khawaja and Warner with terrific balls and got Smith out twice.
  2. That was my thought too tbh.
  3. Pope out with his shoulder injury, and Tongue and Anderson out for the third test too. Moeen, Woakes and Wood take their places. Means a reshuffle of the batting order.
  4. 3 for 2 spots playoff at Dundonald with Craig Ross from Kirkhill and Graeme Robertson from Forthview up against Kiwi Connor McKinney.
  5. Open final qualifying today at 4 courses. Matt Wallace makes it through at West Lancashire, but Garcia and McDowell miss out. Detry, Schwartzel, Grace and Rozner all look to be in at Royal Cinque Ports. Looks to be a 3 for 1 place playoff incoming at Porthcawl. 4 places up for grabs at Dundonald Links, Scotland's Michael Stewart (not that one) leads the way on -7 and is definitely in. Going to be a playoff there too.
  6. Was a big finish from the Dutch, added 80 runs or so in the last 8 overs.
  7. Watching it back none of the commentary team or pundits had an issue with the dismissal at the time, it was all about how careless Bairstow was to wander out of his crease.
  8. Thoughts on caddies reading putts? Imo the only thing they should be doing on the green is pulling the pin out, it should be solely the player's job to read and line up the putt.
  9. I'm sure it's one in T20 and two in all other forms of the game, but a short ball only counts as a bouncer if it passes the batsman above shoulder height.
  10. McCullum as mentioned earlier.
  11. Nailed it. The sun has hardly shone this match, conditions have been pretty much as good as England could have hope for to make the ball swing but they've done nothing with it. Bizarrely, I don't think England would have got as close to winning as they did today without the run-out shenanigans. It seemed to light a fire under Stokes which almost carried England home. Whether that was down to him being raging or knowing he was running out of capable partners, who knows.
  12. That's what made it worse, rain was going sideways. Was a constant strong breeze but it picked up a few notches every time there was a squally shower. Had an awful front 9 and a good solid back 9. Hardly holed a putt all day.
  13. Steffen played about two games as a sub and looked out his depth, Dylan should never have been as far down the leagues but his dad was the West Park manager. Heard 14 or 15 players could be making the switch to Provanmill.
  14. Anyone play this morning? Got caught in a couple of showers that weren't too bad, but it was torrential just before 12 as we were on the 13th green and 14th tee, worst I've had on the course for a while.
  15. And hardly anyone else birdied 18 all day. Gutted for Hill.
  16. Oh dear how sad, Wilson's birdie attempt on 17 lips out....
  17. Some run by Hillier to play 15, 16 & 17 in 5 under par to shoot to the top of the leaderboard.
