  1. Liverpool have been very good, but that's the biggest downing of tools I've seen from an EPL team for a very long time.
  2. 49ers looking at kickers with Robbie Gould almost certainly leaving.
  3. Looks like the 49ers are going to draft a kicker and let Robbie Gould go. It's a bit of a gamble as he has always delivered in clutch moments, but as we've seen with other kickers once they pass 40, the drop off can be sudden and catastrophic. It saves close to $5 million a year against the cap if they do let him go.
  4. I've been involved at committee level for 30 years or so, and my experience is that players for the most part don't have a fecking clue when it comes to stuff like registrations, discipline etc, especially when it comes to what competitions they have played in. 99.9% of them can't even tell you their SFA registration number, which stays with them for their whole career now. We've had plenty who didn't even know if it was a cup tie or a league game, and one player who asked what time the team bus was leaving when we were going to play Perthshire away. About a mile away.
  5. Talbot appear to have played a keeper who had previously played for Clydebank earlier in the tourney.
  6. More on the Peasy's permanent homes here. http://www.petershillfc.co.uk/page10.html
  7. There are definitely a couple of sliding doors moments for us regarding grounds. Atlas Park was right next to the Atlas railway works, and they took over the land to build a munitions factory in 1915. Hawthorn Park was supposedly a fine ground, but the council took over that land to expand the housing stock on Hawthorn Street.
  8. I've definitely seen Petershill v Bellshill at both old and new Petershill Parks, I'm sure we've also played them at Ashfield while the new ground was being built. I've saw the reverse fixture at new and old Brandon Parks, the Matt Busby, Rockburn Park and when they were sharing with Vale of Clyde at Fullarton Park. Edit: Confirmed we hosted them at Saracen Park twice in 2006-7. In August 2007 our sectional tie was moved from New Brandon Park to Thorniewood's Robertson Park. Edit again: Done a bit more digging, we've also hosted Bellshill at Atlas Park in 1907, 1911, 1913 & 1914. We hosted them at Cathkin Park in 1915-16 as our new ground was being built, and Perthshire's Balmore Park the following season as it still wasn't ready. We finally did host them at Hawthorn Park after it was much delayed and opened in 1918. Can't find any record of cup ties at neutral venues. Petershill v Bellshill at 7 venues Bellshill v Petershill at 6.
  9. 49ers long snapper Taybor Pepper signed a new 3 year deal worth $1.5 million.
  10. There will be clubs who will struggle to get floodlights due to local planning rules and/or objections from neighbours. They shouldn't have to worry about what league they play in because of something outwith their control.
